One of my favorite matches ever. Maybe not a great match, not even the greatest match these two had, but the sheer willpower of HBK is amazing. There are many close ups of Shawn and you can see he is in a great deal of pain.

I never really saw this as a botch, and I don't think the audience did either. He was just thrown too fast, so it made sense if he didn't go up the turnbuckle like he normally does.

as much as I hate to say it, I believe it was Shawn's fault. he was trying to curl up the turnbuckle and went too high. The lower part of his butt, not his tail-bone, was supposed to hit the turnbuckle while his legs curl around the top ropes and shoot him upward and around the turnbuckle. We've all seen him do it; I just guess that either it was too much speed or a bad spot. Still, one of the VERY FEW mistakes this great man has ever done IMO.

This match almost ended HBK's career, but HBK is legit and came back, putting on 5 star matches, making people look good, and ending it with an amazing match with Taker at WM.

HBK's always been the top of the game, spanning phases of wrestling. Innovating and being relevant, while still being HBK.
