That made me cry because I didn't listen to my instincts in college and I regret it. If you're in high school or college, think very seriously about what Conan said. There is great wisdom in it.
@fredhetz I watched this speech 4 years ago when I was 14, I thought it was funny because I had just become intensely engrossed in Conan O'Brien in the midst of my 8th grade year. In a matter of 7 weeks, I'll be graduating High school, which, let me tell you, is incredibly difficult to fathom. I've been freaking out still about which college to go to, and what I want to do. Watching this again today, Conan gives me the perspective that I truly need for my future. Conan never fails to do that
COnan is THEE MANNN...He just Makes u Laugh..and makes joy and laughter out of any situation...This is Why He is The funniest man alive..HE'S AT A GRADUATION AND HE DOESN'T GET ALL CLICHE..SOO FUnnnyyy
conan, lucy lui, bill clinton....stuy has the best keynote speakers! if the great education, super awesome students, great facilities, and beauty of this school isnt enough to make you wanna go, the keynote speakers would definitely change your mind. YOU GO TO HELL BRONX SCIENCE!
Stuyvesant High School is the best high school in NYC and is one of the best high schools in the America. Not everyone can get in. Stuyvesant is also a rich school due to its location and the students that attend. It's not surprising that Conan would be there for the graduation.
man just shut up about other schools. The BOE looks at performance, and makes decisions based on those only. Stuy performs well, other schools like Hillcrest in queens, suck. deal with it.

Wait a minute: Conan gets payed $25,000 for this... to read to the audience? I know great theater actors who memorize 2 hours of monologue and get about $90 a show. Conan is not worthy of being a paid reader.

Why does Conan charge a huge amount for appearances like this? Just think how many text books could be purchased for the same amount. Let the kids stay up and watch his show for a few nights, they'll get the same laughs.

Conan gets $25,000 for such a gig, plus 1st Class air, 5-star hotel & limo service. That's b.s. Give him $1,000 and an Amtrak ticket, he's not god ya know.

Okay, I don't know the exact numbers(it's probably more than $25K). I worked for 26 years in mainstream film & TV production. I can tell you that most cats like Conan are overpaid, have impossible demands they make in their contract and have an obscene sense of entitlement.
its stuyvesant high school (its two blocks away from ground zero). its a specialized new york high school and the SHSAT(specialized high schools admissions test) is required to get into the school, and it isnt a rich person school. its just a high school for people that can exceed standards in education.
our keynote speaker was pretty interesting to listen to, but lacked humor. I wish i was at last year's graduation to hear Conan speak. brilliant speech

LOL that's so weird i can't imagine Conan as the type of person who whines over getting payed a huge salary to make an appearance... yet at the same time, its a freakin' celebrity! my feelings are so mixed.

Conan Sucks Shit, He's got the worse stand up along with his bull shit Ahhhhh ahhhhh ahhh in between every other fucking word.
Notice how this control freak fuck won't let anyone out do him on his show or he'll freak?
His only show that was worth seeing was when Ted Nugent completely dominated him.
Fuck You Conan, Hope you die in LA when you take over for eavesdropping Jay.
