Hi I just got a baby yellow monitor /quince and it has small like calcium deposit or cyst he eat drink water moves around but I'm concerned on how to treat this any help would be nice thank you for your time
Id tell u to get an Ackie monitor if ur looking for a smaller species. I had a Mangrove monitor (vids on my channel) who unfortunatly just passed away but I housed her in a 260 gallon reptarium standing tall. Im getting a Yellow monitor like this 1 who'll ill b housing in the same enclosure (standing tall) til shes an adult & then ill b laying it flat. Standing tall its 70" T x 29" L x 29" W
how big do these get. and could you recommend some monitor species that will be 4 ft at most (the smaller the better) and what size cage would be good for them. something that has a slim look like this one not fat like the savannahs lol.
hes about as well behaved as my Nile monitor thor, though mines a high yellow so he basically shines lol, But why the gloves?, Or is that just to avoid scratches? because I dont use any with mine never have and he's about 4-1/2 feet now :p
greetings, these monitors are naturally very docile and well tempered, however it all depends on the specimen, i have had over 30 and only had one that was very aggressive, typically they are not aggressive and somewhat skittish. Its all about working with them though, handling them daily.
hate people having these in their houses..let them live where they belong

Do you have to wear gloves every time you hold them?
