for li yu chun, personally, i think it's not easy to sing a male role as a girl, i think a barritone voice would fit really well and it's not something physically easy to sing for a girl. for jane, she has natural vocals and she knows how to use them, which i think is what helps her sound better when singing western songs.
Li Yuchun doesn't suck. She's actually pretty awesome, and you'd know if you took a listen to her albums. Li Yuchun has grown as a musician. She won because of her personality and her individuality, but her music is catching up because she's willing to work. And hey - she's somewhere in the industry while you're not. I don't think you have much a right to judge. State your personal preference, but no need to bash on other people.
