Thanks. Bach never made things easy for the performer. It takes a lot of practice and patience, especially here where the pedals are the old French variety ie very short.
Actually, it is the middle movement of the sonata. This sonata is done in 3 movements. This just happends to be the calm secion out of the 2 crazier ones. But the difficulty level never decreases throughout. It is truely a wonderful piece. Beautiful performance!
Many thanks for this, the organ in Carcassone is one of my favourite old French organs. It's surprised to me that this instrument is so fine playing Bach.
Beautiful playing and sound.

Wonderful as always my friend.. must be very hard to play this trio sonatas all by yourself! Bach was crazy to compose this all for one instrument!!
Keep well Pastor!

This is beautiful. Melodies like this sometimes make me think "what could have been going through Bach's mind when he wrote this".
How is the tracker-touch on an organ like that? 17th-century, It's got to be pretty stiff.

This totally restored organ has a suspended mechanical : fulcrum is in the centre of the key. The manuals are light, even coupled.

Q: "what could have been going through Bach's mind when he wrote this"
A: Bach, "I gotta get this done for Sunday services or I'm dead meat!"
