You and your mom were sooo smart to take the train. My family and I drove from Germany to Amsterdam. UUGGGHHH!!! When it was my turn to drive in Amsterdam somehow ended up in on a surface road that was for city buses only. People at the bus stops were looking at us drive by and I just know they were thinking "Dumb A$% Americans!" LOL! Oh well...

But I highly recommend, Marché Saxe-Breteuil, which is the Best Overall Market.

This large market is one of the finest in Paris. It sells everything from fur coats to oriental carpets. There are pots and pans, cosmetics at knock-down prices and of course the usual large selection of food. Close by is the giant complex known as Les Invalides where the glittering golden dome of he Church of St. Louis marks the final resting place of Napoleon Bonaparte. Check it out, au revoir!! :)
