It's funny that when talking about temperature no one mentions the SUN, it plays a MAJOR role in the earth's temperature, what caused the medieval warm period back in 800 AD, when there were no cars, no electricity and only 200mill people inhabited the earth?

I totaly hear that. It is actually so unsurd that one cant even reason with these people. They are lying and know they are so what is the point in debating with them. It is likened to this - some stranger pushes you on the street, you say "dont push me" and they reply " I didnt". That is actually less rediculous because there is nothing hidden, the person knows they were pushed. In this case so many people dont know its a scam. Good point though on the 800 AD.

WIKI's biased AGW gatekeeper (math teacher) of Climate related comments, has deemed Henrik Svensmark, a physicist, as 'irrelevant'. That right there, is a 'must see' recommendation.. It takes about 52 minutes but you will have even more education. Great vids..

The scientists that cooked the data did a grave disservice to science. No longer will scientific testing be a statement of fact. Now it will have to be accompanied by the raw data. Interpretation is not science. Anything that is not provable by mathematics is opinion. Unfortunately cooking the data by however miniscule amount is unconscionable. These so called scientists should be beaten with a stick.

Wow. There is a lot of evidence that points to anthropgenic global warming. But it could be wrong. There is a change that it's real and a chance it's not. You can't say someone is stupid because they choose one of these. Sweeping generalizations are an indicator of a close mind.

And more dangerous than terrorists? Come on. Would you say that to the families of those who were murdered on 9/11? That was a horrific tragedy, don't downplay what happened on 9/11.

Haha. Gore didn't invent global warming either. It was "invented" long before anyone had even heard of Al Gore. And the greenhouse effect, discovered by Joseph Fourier in the 1800s. Even if you don't believe in GW, the GHG Effect is real. If it weren't we wouldn't be able to inhabit the Earth. We'd freeze to death. That's why people think if there's too much it will get too hot.

You try to sound as you know things. Fourier only proved a basic and obvious fact: that the atmosphere keep our globe warm. Which it of course do; but if the humans contribute to the rise in temperature that only *perhaps* is happening, is a complete other question.

I said Fourier discovered the GHG effect, not anthropogenic climate change. That was sort of my point. That without a layer of GHGs including CO2, Earth would be inhabitable. That's why I said "we'd freeze to death" and "that's why PEOPLE THINK" if there's an excess, it could go the other way.

I'm not trying to "sound" like I know things. It's just a fact.

No. The "green house effect" is about CO2. Fourier only proved that the earths atmosphere keep the globe warm (which is a truism, because it is very easy to calculate which temperature the earths should have without atmosphere). CO2 in itself is not the subject here.

You're not making any sense here. The green house effect is about CO2, but it's not the subject? And CO2 is certainly not the only GHG, it also includes methane, water vapour, ozone, CFCs and a number of other things.

I know Fourier only proved the greenhouse effect, that's exactly what I said. But it's the main concern when discussing GW. Where do you think CO2 gas goes? Into the atmosphere.

My point was that the idea of GW existed well before Al Gore.

No it's not. GHG are just an element of the debate. The debate is global warming. I NEVER said Fourier contributed to global warming! Jeez. My point was his discovery is the foundation of the whole GW idea. Other scientists have done the research on it.

The debate is whether our pollution is the source of all of this. Not the effect of GHGs themselves.

I'm not trying to "trick" people. I'm just sick of people thinking Al Gore invented GW! He didn't! Are you even reading my posts?

You don't "invent" science. You discover things through research and observation. No scientific theory was produced by a single person. It takes time and scientific collaboration.

I have never said something else. But I can help you on the way. The first who talkes about CO2 and the green house effect in modern meaning, was Svante Arrhenius at the end of the 19th century. He never got the mathematics right, thought, as not even the modern AGWs have.

I know, my point was that I was just talking about the GHG effect in general, not in the modern sense. But science builds and there is a connection. New scientists build upon the older ones' ideas and perfects them. Arrhenius is a good example. Most people just know him from the study of acids and bases, though.

There's nothing wrong with believing in God or Jesus, but there's also nothing wrong with believing in science. In fact, they should go hand in hand. If you're sick, you should pray about it AND go to the doctors.
