I think it is a smart choice. The thing about supercars is that you never get to use all that power because of speed limits. So why bother putting in a large engine, when you can't use it. I will settle for a smaller engine, while still having super car looks and saving money at the same time.

@Soetman Technically, there is. Acceleration is not only determined by how much power you have, but also by how well a car can put down its power. You could have all the power in the world, but if it cannot put it down, you just get wheelspin. True, a bigger engine will give you better acceleration, but where are you going to use it? To speed off at the lights or when moving on to the motorway. Often you will be stuck behind someone else, so there's still no point in accelerating fast.

Gasoline only burns when it is in an aerosol form and isn't under pressure while in storage. If you fill a can with gas and let it sit for a few minutes, (to let the fumes to die down) you can drop lit cigarettes into it. It is the 'shimmering fumes' that are explosive. And the only way a gas tank can explode is if is totally empty and full of fumes while sealed. Exploding gas tanks are hollywood created stunts.
