Maybe it will be different in modern society, maybe not. Society doesn't condone marrying a sibling or a parent either. They consider it too familiar. thursdayrecords, part of the problem is that history has shown that when societies turn from traditional families and begin to support alternate lifestyles, societies fall. Maybe it will be different in modern society, maybe not. Society doesn't condone marrying a sibling or a parent either. They consider it too familiar. The same applies to saying there is no difference between same sex and opposite sex relationships. Most respect when adults make that decision, not when 14 yo best friends do.

She gave a honest response to a taboo question, I respect her guts but as for a competition she should have known better than to piss off a large portion of her fans and possibly offend some of the judges. She started off good with "it's great Americans can choose" and should have kept it at that. Keep it neutral. I personally don't believe in marriage itself so I couldn't care less if two guys/girls/whatever wanna hook up & be happy. God I love America but I hate stupid ass pageants like this.

If it is based on her opinion, then no, she would like her country to keep the definition of marriage as it has always been, between a man and a woman.
