It's kinda creepy, in a good way, that Michael Phelps seemed destined to win 8 gold medals. The year--2008. It all happened in China where the number 8 is a very lucky number. So many instances where it seemed it all came down to luck. The odds were very much against it, but he did it each and every time. The stuff of legends.
