@kel464 What? where did you hear that? Ireland is not free, six counties are still occupied by Britain while the so called free counties are run by a puppet government for the Brits.
If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organization of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you.
what are the chords and strumming pattern to this song? A lot of songs I write would totally fit this music pattern. I want to close my eyes and dream myself into existence. "
Mo seanathair inis dom faoi scéalta na ghairm Nazi 1940-1945. Gach uair a éisteacht liom amhráin Wolf Tones reminds dom de na rudaí Uafásach seanathair mo taithí acu ar an 5 bliana. Ní amháin go bhfuil muid ag fulaingt forlámhas na Breataine, táimid ag fulaingt forlámhas an tAaontas Eorpach chomh maith. Ní amháin go raibh muid ag fulaingt ionradh na Breataine inné, anois againn míbhuntáistí inimirce ón Afraic, san Áise agus Oirthear na hEorpa.
I just got back from Dublin. I'm not Irish, bur I'm obessed with Irish and culture. I was at a pub there where everyone broke out into song. An older man sang this song and it really made me cry. I found it so moving. This really brings out my emotions. I want to go back to Dublin.

The Tones are good at everything, but i do recommend the song by Christy Moore. He does an unbeatable version (nothing taken away from the tones)
