Awesome job guys!! Am very proud to be a part of it... With Mardi Gras and now this, Optus are very much becoming gay rights activists which is awesome. Couldn't work for a better company :)
Thankyou Optus... You may not have been willing to add your corporate logo... But you gave a voice to your G&L staff to let other know why and how it gets better... Big ticks from me
For Optus to attach it's brand to such a campaign is indeed noble! A true mark of an organization with genuine corporate responsbility! YES! It'll get better and BE PROUD!
This video hit me a lot harder than some of the other It Gets Better videos. In this one, they acknowledge that gay kids are physically and mentally assaulted, that high school is often the worst time of your life, and that your parents aren't always going to be accepting or understanding. Despite this, they get the message across. This is going in my favourites.
This is a great video and great to see Optus getting behind this project.
WIth that said, the message in this video is completely inconsistent with the values of the Government of Singapore which owns Optus through the Sovereign Fund Temasek. That government has an appalling human rights record, indeed consensual sex between two adult males remains illegal there.
As another former employee. I can honestly say I never felt more comfortable in any other work place. This is amazing stuff & a message that more need to hear. It does get better.
@talentlessclown >> sorry to disappoint you... they very much exist... and do work for optus. that's a fact.. just appreciate that some people cares..
@michiesim Ahh yeah I know that only to well. I was just pointing out how stupid Bob Katter was to claim there are no gays in far north Queensland. Bob Katter is an Australian politician that perhaps you haven't heard of - but take it from me he is very stupid.
why dont you create a video for us outsourced employees

What a great project for an organisation to promote. I would be proud to be apart of an initiative like this within an organisation. Well done Optus.

@mikeAU82 Clearly this is an Australian branch initiative, and kind of makes it even more significant.

According to Bob Katter, none of these people exist.
