the thing that makes "conspiracy theories" different from real conspiracies is that "conspiracy theories" are almost always based on quote fishing, dividing the world into groups and implicitly claiming they are unilaterally organized (eg., jews, bankers, communists, etc), and of course there is the post hoc ergo propter hoc. Martin Keating's book "The Final Jihad" was originally set in Chicago. He changed the setting to Oklahoma AFTER the Oklahoma city bombing happened. Other details like the "Tom McVeigh" character and the fact that the chief suspect in the novel was pulled over during a routine traffic stop were all details that were added to the book AFTER the Oklahoma City bombings took place, but Keating's publicity team never mentioned that because they wanted people to look at the book exactly as they do now.

the thing that makes "conspiracy theories" different from real conspiracies is that "conspiracy theories" are almost always based on quote fishing, dividing the world into groups and implicitly claiming they are unilaterally organized (eg., jews, bankers, communists, etc), and of course there is the post hoc ergo propter hoc. Combine that with the fact that none of these people appear to have read a book that isn't about conspiracy theories, and you have good reason to yawn and keep on walking.

Martin Keating's book "The Final Jihad" was originally set in Chicago. He changed the setting to Oklahoma AFTER the Oklahoma city bombing happened. Other details like the "Tom McVeigh" character and the fact that the chief suspect in the novel was pulled over during a routine traffic stop were all details that were added to the book AFTER the Oklahoma City bombings took place, but Keating's publicity team never mentioned that because they wanted people to look at the book exactly as they do now.

Do not attack people who are skeptical of you, it makes you look desperate, and its an ad-hominem attack, a logical fallacy. Return focus to your evidence. If you want to convince a skeptic, you have to show overwhelming evidence, and this evidence has to wether the storm of debunking. I.e. loose change sucks, all its claims are disproven.
