5/26/00 - Driving to the airport to go to visit a relative in LA, heard on KYW that the Phillies lost in Houston the night before. No details except possibly a non-shutout final score.

5/27/00 - In LA with nothing better to do, went to Phillies-Dodgers game. Phillies won. Pat Burrell, just up from AAA, hit a homerun. For several days, I thought I had seen his first big league homer, but it turned out that he had hit it in the loss to Houston 2 nights earlier.

And 198 dingers later....
