  • Thank you for telling the truth about what WE are doing to our one and only planet and the life we share it with.

  • But beef tastes good, pork tastes good ,lamb tastes gooooood!!!!!

  • @williamblair11 In fact, after 2 months of vegetarianism... it does not anymore. Belive me, if I'd known how easy cutting meat out of my diet really is, I had taken that step way earlier. Save yourself and the planet just by not eating other animals. Seems so logical now, but since I was omnivore myself I know that it might seem scary in a way to take that step.

  • NICE : )

  • Well, if the cattle eats grass it's not comparable because humans can't digest grass like cows can. But on the other hand most cattle nowadays are fed with things like grains and soy which humans do eat and which are not even natural foods for them and poorer nutritionally. So that makes meat and milk that's poorer in nutrients also.

  • There is a mistake in this video, it takes 25 to 30 kilogram off cattle food to get one kilogram off meat and not 10 kilogram, please chance this in to the right numbers.

  • well if you're one of the people at fault then fuck you

  • I will eat as much meat as i want...... screw that dumb video and as for my car I like gas power!!!

  • dumb video

  • The issue is not what we eat but our production system that is destroying the planet.

It's a whole other discussion if we need meat or not, but the discussion should be what can we change in the system we created that is a linear, production line that is wasteful and poorly designed. Sustainability makes sense and I do think if people had to kill their food there would be less omnivores! The production system plus the make up on top of the meat industry are the problem...

  • It is not even about whether eat meat or not.. it is about how we treat animals, our Earth and what we give back. We consume, pollute, eat more than we need. Before we at least prayed before the meal or did sacrifice to Gods... we hunted with bows and gave animals chance to live. Now we just cruel, we abuse our mother nature. So why not step back and at least eat less meet if you can't stop at all. It is not late yet. At least ofr your own health please!

  • Oh why still so little work is done to promote vegetarianism and to show it's benefits. Why there are no labels on meat products telling all that stuff shown here? On cigarette packs we have labels telling about death. And agriculture makes up only several % of economy in developed countries, why then profits there must be so crucial?

  • those facts meke me more sceptical. fo example about 60litres!!

  • Dung from cattle can be used to make fuel for us to use. Converted C02. It is being done now in China of all places.

  • ..this was very informative..hard to watch at times but powerful..thankyou..nammste...william

  • Dear iHardstyleZz,

you didn't grasped what the movie tells to you ... You can save the hugest amount of water by not eating meat, for instance 15.000 liters for one kilo of beef! And the same is with the cars, you make more "virtual" emissions by eating meat.

    Satvapuri

  • Comment removed

  • @iHardstyleZz i agree meat is awesome i will never stop

  • @freurros Cant you see? People are starving because the place they were living is used for producing food for our animals.

  • I tried to be vegetarian...i failed...ill try again...

  • i watched this.... and now i feel hungry....time for a stake :P

seriousely though if you have such a problemb with cows causing pollution then what do u want us to do? kill them all?

plus so what if millions of species have gone extinct? we dont need them to survive so who cares? its the law of nature we are a more successful race therefore we live and they die most of those species would have gone extinct anyway we merely....sped up to process.

  • To eat meat is a vice which produces terrible consecuences in ourselves.

"Our body ills by our ouwn ignorance"(Buda, 2.600 years ago)...And the earth too. Isn´t it?...Cause - Effect, Light - Darkness, Outside - Inside, Love - Hate, Above - Under...

COMPASSION IS THE HIGHEST KIND OF LOVE...Animals dead crying, begging us Compassion

The real diet human was given in the same paradise (Bible) and "Universal Diluvium" come in caused for human violence...

Animals LOVE as similar as you do...LOVE them

  • Killing animals really hearts :-((

  • you know wat fuck this video i didnt give a shit about it go eat your stupit vegetables your loss but most of us are going to eat meat you vegetarians are sad people this is last comments about this stupit video

  • @freurros

Animlas feel pain as similar as you feels, so they dead begging us compassion as you would beg it...(I think...) And they love as you sim ilar as you do.

As we love our pet we should love every animal (I feel it and I do...And it is not sad. LOVE is not sad)There are two great words: RESPect - RESPonsability...Our body ills by our ouwn ignorance (Buda) And out earth too. Isn´t it?

Humans should take care of animals and more there we would be loving the earth through RESPect - RESPons

  • @Amigosdelmundo1 i see ur point but if u stop eating them then it iwll distrub the food chain causing some animals to extininction and now people are starving and want meant and if we eat vegies it will be expensivenand it will be even harder for them to get it

  • @freurros...

Hum, really stadictics show us that ten Kilograms of grains produces one kilogram of meat...It means, instead you would eat one kilogram of meat, you would have ten kilograms of grains...Hum, I would prepare more than 300 kinds of diferent delicious plates including bread, desserts, soups, ice creams and so much more. And all of them whitout toxins (And without PAIN = Compassion)...

Someone said: "Animals are my friends, and I don´t eat my friends" 90% of illnes are by eating meat

  • Animlas feel pain as similar as you feels, so they dead begging us compassion as you would beg it...(I think...) And they love as you sim ilar as you do.

As we love our pet we should love every animal (I feel it and I do...And it is not sad. LOVE is not sad)There are two great words: RESPect - RESPonsability...Our body ills by our ouwn ignorance (Buda) And out earth too. Isn´t it?

  • The problem of killing animals is another one that is supported by religious retards. Whoever approves to kill animals in a cruel way should be killed in the same way if you ask you me.

  • @Rooo8 well spoken.!!!

  • Yes, you are right ...

  • @satvapuri You are so wrong to have agreed with his idiotic reasoning, tsk tsk.

  • @freurros If God wanted animals to eat vegetables why make humans? Your logic is extremely flawed. Livestock numbers would decrease if humans stop over-breeding them for meat. My goodness! It's like explaining things to a 3 year old!

  • @BastetAsshur they can breed on their on tooo we dont have to tell them how to breath and why did god make canines for us

  • @freurros god does not exist you tard. you have no proof. it's like if i said i believe that Merlin was an space man, i have no evidence to sustain this theory, but you have no evidence the other way around.. does that make me right?.. be honest.

  • @freurros I Totally 'Agree' with you, fre'ak'urros

  • @freurros I absolutely 'agree' with you, fre'ak'urros

  • @freurros except there are such things as other animals that would feed on cows, capacity limits, natural diseases, etc. the apocalypse would not happen if the world suddenly decided not to eat meat because we are not the only predators on Earth and the large number of cows isn't some naturally occurring oddity, it's because we bred them to eat them. No God's nor Nature's hand in that.

  • @freurros

Satvapuri, this person is an idiot...you can't possibly agree with someone as incomprehensible as THIS moron...I can't even really tell which side he's arguing for...

  • @TheMercilessEye u cant tell which side because ur stupit ur the only one who dosent understand go play runescape or something

  • @freurros Ah...I went back and read some of your comments. Actually, I had trouble understanding your really stupid use of English, that's all. Now I know that you actually ARE as stupid as you sound.

I don't play runescape, moron. : ) Nice try, though.

  • I am studying English, but those things really importants are about understanding, but if you don´t understand, or you don´t want to understand, you are not an stupid Englsh native speaker. You are only someone who don´t want to understand or simply you don´t understand...(Without insults Sir, if I can say you Sir...he-he)

  • @Amigosdelmundo1 You CAN call me sir, my thanks, I understand freurros all too well, now, and he IS an idiot.

Thanks for being polite. Don't sit next to freurros at the dinner table... <__<

  • @freurros That is quite possibly one of the most stupid comments I've ever read. Congratulations, moron.

  • why only kill animals? i want to have the taste of humans.

  • lol, CJD has not much in common with animals and BSE.

  • I'm 16 and I'm a vegan since june 2008 and I am as healty as possible living without meat! Do you really believe that it's right to kill in order to fill your stomach? I don't think so!

  • well the only animal on earth that takes more then it needs (guess what?) is human beings. we dont need to eat meat.. it's just as healthy to eat vegetables which also are equivalent to meat in some cases... it's only selfish people eating meat because they dont know better..

  • what you just said has got nothing to do with what i wrote. it's a simple fact that you dont have to kill innocent animals to fill your stomachs... eat vegetables and save the planet!!!

  • 4000 million years ago ?? hahahah

  • Facts, facts and more facts, but nearly nobody cares. Just because the double-whatever Burger from McDonalds "tastes" so good.

  • @010010110001101 the burger must have decreased their ability to think rational.

  • @RaurelAdams...

Hum, sure friend, sure. To eat meat is a vice...And, who does think clearly sumerged in a vice?...

Healthy mind in a healthy body.

  • i totally agree with you dude

  • Meat is made of suffered animals, killed for the 'taste'. It's a sick thing, unfair.

  • i think that we must take everything without excesses. if you eat meat in a excessive way can be unhealthy. but the excesses of vegetables don't offers you everything you need for living. you maybe must take supplies pills or something like vitamins, calcium etc for stabilize all that meat offers- but now we can modify vegetables... so... it's confusing topic for me xD

  • Damn :)

my last komment was ment for: nikoz78, who posted 7 month ago on this topic.

  • The meat is necessary to be healthy. You're going to fall ill if you only eat vegetables.

  • I am Vegetarian since 14 Years. I feel absolutley fit, I run Marathons and my personal Doctor and the Blood Bank tell me that my Blooddata is great.

    Now you.

  • Good for you, but meat eating was essential for human evolution. Eating meat fish may help memory according to researchers. We need meat protein and we need vegetables too.

  • I guess we sapiens are omnivore. We can eat both, and both has some flaws and some benefits.

Think about the Inuit - they eat almost only meat, and lead a good life.

    It is a choise.

  • Damn it again. This was ment to be a reply on korth66 who wrote 2 hours ago.

  • You're right.

  • I guess i am.

Sorry for the post chaos. But my replys where shown as regular Posts yesterday, today its all fine - love web2.0.

  • dB,

    It is a choise. (sic)

so is suicide, infanticide, genocide. . .

  • dB,

Think about the Inuit - they eat almost only meat, and lead a good life

Bad argument. Cholesterol is the chemical compound most closely connected to heart disease in humans and to several cancers (meat is a cholesterol delivery system). Inuit peoples have high incidence of these cancers and a shorter life expectancy than peoples without such a meat-centered diet. This is statistically confirmed. Inuit life expectancy is 10 years less than that of Canadians generally. Meat kills.

  • dB,

Its no anomaly, same appears to apply to Chukchis, Aleuts, Eskimos_

Eat lots of meat, get digestive tract or reproductive cancers, and/or heart disease, die too soon_

    Meat kills.

  • @nannyjojan 2,

If they returned to traditional Inuit diet, enhanced hygiene, better living conditions, better access to hospitals and medical supplies, better education, then the Inuit population would likely be up to par with this so-called "average". The infant mortality rate is about four times that of the average Canadian as well. If you're so closed-minded as to believe a more traditional meat diet is the root of their downfall, then you really ought to reconsider your outlook on things.

  • @nannyjojan,

Where is your evidence concerning the Inuit and their diet? They have a life expectancy lower than the average Canadian, but they also live in far poorer conditions than the average Canadian... And their diet is unhealthy due to the Westernization of foods, especially canned foods and junk foods. Ask any medical doctor living in the North.

  • Just like elephants and our mighty cows..that's all they eat and we seem to think their flesh is strong enough to eat...

  • The elephants and cows are herbivorous. A herbivore is an animal that is only adapted to eat plants and not meat. They don't need meat protein. We are omnivorous. We need meat protein.

  • k66, We are omnivorous. We need meat protein. WRONG. • Really, tool use helped early humans in butchering their dinners. By cooking our food, we wouldn't need teeth big enough. By using knives to cut food into smaller pieces, we wouldn't need a large enough jaw to cram in big hunks of food.

  • We have evolved to eat meat and compared to the great apes, we can handle a diet that's high in fat and cholesterol, and the great apes cannot. We jumped out of the trees and started to eat meat. This proteins helped our brain grow, because animal protein contains essential amino acids that are necessary for human body.

  • When faced with facts, it seems the argument remains--

    --Because I said so!

    damnant quod non intelligunt

  • All what I write is supported scientifically. I like science and research, because it works on the basis of the facts. You can confirm that.

  • 66_ . . we can handle a diet that's high in fat and cholesterol . .

Tell that to the cardiologist thatll inevitably be your best friend

  • I said: we can handle a diet that's high in fat and cholesterol . . . compared to the great apes. This prove that we evolved to eat meat.

  • 66_ . . animal protein contains essential amino acids that are necessary for human body. .

As do plant proteins, they come with disease fighting antioxidants. Animal proteins come with disease CAUSING compounds. Nutritional biochemists rate protein availability using a PDCAAS (corrected amino acid) scale. 1.0 is a top protein score (dang, more science_):

    Beef, ground: 0.80

    Beef, steak: 0.92

    Pork sausage: 0.63

  • A stunning video that is an excellent factual documentary to get people to become vegetarian / vegan. I have been a vegetarian for 13 years at the time of writing and most people wonder why, well this video explains all. Well done for sharing it.

  • "and for meat eating duh if we dont eat meat at all then all the plants would be gone too "

    what??

  • Another vegan here... Thanks for getting the truth out there :)

  • weve gone a little over board on this green shit...

  • Truthfully let's create a World in Peace, Beauty, and Love <3

    BVGGSTP

  • @Ronan316

    Sure, friend.

  • Being a vegan is not to blame anyone for what they eat. But what it helps to achieve is the higher states of consciousness and takes away the unnecessary fear (well if you're on top of the roof and you can't fly, it's great to have the fear of jumping as it saves the one's life). I'm happy without consuming animal products for food but my most concern is just to see the people happy, but I can still feel the pain of the killing inside of me. Life is not the suffering, life is for to create.

  • Thanks to this video I am now going to concentrate all my efforts on continuing to eat as much meat as possible.I enjoy killing the land and I hope that one day it will eventually lead to the destruction of the human race.We kill stuff too bloody bad I want my steak when I come home and I sure as hell refuse to stop because of some vegetarian scumbags. The world will fix itself eventually and will most likely result in the death of the human race. Also when the sun burns out we're all dead so meh

  • We raise 12 chickens, two goats, two pigs, crawfish and over 150 fruits, vegetables and nuts trees. We are on a system of permaculture. Our farm is 100% sustainable (and organic). We grow grain and soybean to feed our animals. We breed our own animals. We slaughter a pig every November. Our pig is treated with dignity & respect its entire life. Vegetarian propaganda is the worst "know it all hippie" tripe around. Hitler was a vegetarian. GREEN issues are NOT liberal issues. They are CONSERVATIVE

  • "Green issues" apply to everyone, my friend. The planet doesn't care what you're political affiliation is.

  • most 'veg propaganda' is based on reducing the meat intake of the general populace whose meat comes from unnatural factory farms. This is very different from the dignified end you give to your pigs. I'm a vegan, and I agree that self-righteousness is not a good quality, and it sometimes comes across in pro-veg media; however, a lot of teh points are valid nonetheless ~ let's not lose the baby for the bathwater. As for Hitler being vegetarian, so? Ghandi was vegetarian, Pol Pot ate meat, so what?

  • Hitler had a health problem and his Doctors toled him to not eat meat - he was not vegetarian.

  • the end is near.

  • I think the last part of the video, "become vegetarian" was, well.. :\ ...

i mean they could go.. Reduce meat consumption or something... eat organic foods.. etc..

i guess it was 1995 though

  • why, because it's so hard to stop eating meat, like heroine ? Becoming vegetarian doesn't change a lot the environmental issue, dairy cows still shit, and we need to kill them after they're not productive. They should say "go vegan". But you're right, " (ACF) suggest that removing just one 150-gram serve of beef a week would culminate in a saving of 10,000 litres of water and 300 kilograms of greenhouse gases. "

  • Love imposes impossible tasks,

    Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,

But none more than any heart would ask,

I must know you're a true love of mine.

  • I came.

  • The earth could sustain a meat eating human population of around 250,000,000. I understand the moral opposition to meat consumption, but it's simply not the root cause of our current state of environmental crisis. An environmentally conscious vegan human population of 20 billion driving hybrids, and using efficient energy systems, is far worse than a Hummer driving, meat eating, coal burning population of 250 million. The real problem is overpopulation. There can only be so many of us...

  • The problems of population and meat-eating are really on the same side of the sustainability equation that adds to a constant value. If we had a Vegan planet, then the sustainable population limit (in other words, the starting point of 'over-population') would be much higher than on a planet that fully or partly sustains itself on meat and poultry and dairy.

Then there's the moral argument. How will we ever find true peace and conscience when we enslave and torture other sentient beings?

  • Well stated sandyjune. You laid out the issues very clearly.

What's your backround? Math? Law? Philosophy?

It's rare for me to find any clear thinkers on YouTube!

  • Hahahaha.

    I'm in engineering actually.

Yeah, for most people, youtube is normally for 'letting out steam'. I am a Vegan and I don't like the total lack of Vegan presence in most people's day-to-day life; that Veganism remains very obscure, as a way of life. So I like to post Vegan arguments here, wherever I see them needed. We've gotta help more and more people 'make the connection'.

    Peace.

  • Fellow vegan here, thanks for all your efforts!

  • Hahaha ! nice to meet you !

Dont say thanks ! We do what we ought to ! Fight the good fight when and how you can !

  • There is no overpopulation issue ~ given the right allocation and wise use of resources.

What is 'worse' about 20 billion earth-friendly people compared to ony a 40th of that number driving diesel powered tonka trucks? Don't you like humans? :D

There will soon be 7 billion people here ~ by reducing our own carbon footprint, including through meat reducution, we give every one of them a fairer chance at life ~ and the possibility of more people to love with, live with, party with, and enjoy

  • always look at the bright side of life. The Secret is out.. Problem is that 1% owns97% of all the money...

  • The only way to save the earth and animals is the total extermination of the human race.

  • extermination of wrong thinking and its propagation would be enough ~ those who think wrongly now may may be the greatest propagators of peace in the future

  • So fucking true!!!

  • The problem is overpopulation, not meat eating or SUV's. We need to do something about the fact that there are almost 7 billion people. Like a virus, we're gonna kill off our host, planet earth, and in doing so, kill off ourselfs. Can someone tell me why the big players like Bill Gates are wasting money helping sustain overpopulation by feeding and medicating people, instead of doing something about the way we live and reproduce. It's time we face the truth, there are just too many of us.

  • According to most scientific information, if humans turned to a vegetarian diet and used more sustainable energy and living practises, we could live sustainably and continue doing so. But greed inhibits that.

  • We probably could live sustainably if we turned to a vegetarian diet, but still, with almost 7 billion of us, a lot of other creatures cannot live sustainably. We've simply destroyed their habitat for our own uses. Unless we curb population growth, we are in big trouble. Hybrid cars and energy efficient homes can only do so much when there are so many of us.

  • Bilderberg is going to reduce the Humanity to 4.000.000

    Be Happy about that fact...

  • Is there going to be a time where all our soils collapse, and we have greatly diminished food supplies?

  • If we stop eating meat it is a bigger chans to survive.

  • You should watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle".

I salute you. Every time i see the phrase "Global warming is a hoax" I smile and get all happy

  • that's hilarious that you misspelled "naive"

  • As a matter of fact, it is "thou dost protest" and "thou doest protest", not "thou do protest".

  • You've been reading Conversations With God...

  • I agree

  • We are a very wasteful country!!!!!!!! We want to poison all bugs not caring about the birds and the insects that pollinate our food to keep us alive. We have got to wake up!!!!!!!!!!

  • We have no more reason to kill cows, pigs and chickens than whales. The point of the video si correct, even if i don't especially like the opening 1:25.

  • Hi SardonicusRexx,

I am really sorry for that, but we have done our best because this is our first video project. It was really hard to realise it in 15 languages...

  • Dear toadytoad123,

is this now propaganda or not?

We all have to decide if we will accept the FACTS (and not just close our eyes as they we're not existent) and do some actions against --- OR we will have to explain in the near future to our children, why this planet is not anymore worth for living...

  • Neat. I like the Carl Sagan-esque Calendar analogy. However the first 1:25 of the video was a put-off. Exceedingly amateurish. Nothing says propaganda like the phrase "Wake up!"

  • if you are saying we have been around a couple months(on the year scaling system) is to say that we have been around for nearly 700million years, unless you are going by the moronic Christian 6000yr old earth BS, but i can't tell if you are being sarcastic or retar... Christian.

  • ¬¬ All this video to become Vegetarian...? oh well...

  • I think thou does protest too much!

If there is no truth in the claims, then why are you here trying to reassure yourself?
