The funny thing about people is they are so quick to judge , this was taped at 5:30am so the boys were extremely tired . thats 1 . secondly; , they had a concert in los angles they couldnt make so they shot a telecast video that played in place of their concert( what u r watching now , there is no audience ) . If you knew nuttin but stringz then you would know that they dont use regular stand mics for a concert , they use unique head mics to perform.
If they had better instruments, they would sound fifty times better. I agree, they have a lot more musicality that a lot of musicians but the can work on their technique more, but can't all of us?
They're awesome!they need improvement in technique and better istruments but they work really well with what they what have so with a bit more tranin' and better instruments they'd be outstanding!
they are crappy technique-wise, but they have more spunk, originality, and charisma than most classical violinists will ever have. I really, really doubt that they got a degree from juilliard, seeing as it's renowned for churning out musicians with impeccable technique (not something i'm fond of, but there you go), although they might have participated in some short programs or camps. I wish they had better instruments, though... theirs are very squeaky, and I think they deserve much better.

I first saw these guys on Jack's Big Music Show on NOGGIN. HAd to find out more about them. They are just amazing. I just ordered their CD!

No offence, because I think they are amazing, but there is no market for two young black men playing violins. Streets wont listen to them because they play violins and country people wont listen to them because they are "overly-street". Realisticly, and in spite of their skill and talent, there is only a very small audience that would accept them.
