The 5th foul on Lonny Baxter at the end of this game is complete garbage. This game would of had a much better ending had that not been the case. Even Billy Packer is in disbelief about the call that steals a critical possesion from Maryland and takes away their best inside player. I'm not saying Duke wouldn't have won anyway, but the finish would've been closer and it's calls like that year after year that make people really hate the blue devils!

@jayfey77. Yeah baby thank you so much. That game along with the 2010 DUke-Butler game and 1992 DUke-UK game are the most emotional I got watching a College Basketball game ever. I remember I was crying the last :30 seconds of the DUke-Maryland 2001 ACC Tourney game because it was such a great ending. I got emotional seeing the Duke players celebrate after Hayword missed the shot last APril in Indy. And I tackled my dog in excitement after Laettner beat UK with the shot.
