  • Best shirt

  • Nice Aperture Science shirt.

  • This video was an early product review recorded 5 months ago. Read the user review since then. The Chromebook is a failed experiment. It is just a glorified netbook. Instead of wasting $350 on this limited device you might as well spend another $100 and buy a full notebook computer that does so much more. Or just pay less than the Chromebook, buy a netbook, and still have more functionality!

  • can you game on this

  • @eddiemond you cannot

  • Guys, for those who asked, this device costs $349 on amazon with wifi and $449 with 3g.:)

  • Interesting OS from Google

It really could be the best OS in the world over time

  • No Photoshop? K bye.

  • @shahmalinda Well, you can get many photo editors in the chrome app store.

  • Nice Aperture shirt!

  • wow you really look confused at 5:03

  • Great job! Perfect for students!

  • when you say google i want to punch you right in the face

  • try opening up a rar file..

  • Very nice review. Short and to the point.

  • can it play HD videos on youtube without pausing

  • can you use skype or oovoo on it yet?

  • Chrome needs the android market place then it would sell!

  • This was actually extremely helpful. Excellent review!

  • So what If you are just using a wi-fi connection but outside of a connection?.... Are you just screwed?

  • One word rubbish!!!! oh overpriced rubbish !!!! 16gb i cant put all my music my ipod has more memory than this crap

  • If its possible to get a device with i3 core CPU, 4gb RAM, and 300gb HD for the same price, then is it not possible to simply strip that machine of its OS and load the Chrome OS? Wouldn't that be the exactly what everyone really WANTS? a $500 get your iPad out of my face option?

  • i would rather get a tablet than this. tablet resumes faster, is lighter / thinner and even has a better processor -.-

  • meh, for $500, I can get a real laptop with a core i3, 4gb ram, and 300gb hard drive that will run a real OS, Windows 7, real software like office, as well as chrome.

If google wanted bigger penetration, google should release chrome OS as a linux type distro so people can dual boot.

  • @legoman762005 exactly what I was thinking.

  • @legoman762005 as he said... Its for people who only use the web. Not you, because obviously you don't use the web only. So don't put your opinion because You'd know its not for you... Its only for a specific type of person such as a kid or a business man/woman that use email and youtube or Facebook or Google Docs. Like really??? If its not for you, than its not for you! Hence the name "Chrome"book... as the browser!

  • @iMackid97 :) I am pretty sure a kid or a business man/woman would prefer a real $500 laptop. He or she can go on facebook/google docs and many other things outside of the internet.

Hey man, it is the internet. If you can't respect other people's opinions, don't go on youtube. I respect your opinion. If this laptop was $200, then I might get it. For $500, meh. ;)

  • @legoman762005 Have you seen the system specs of the laptop? I think the parts are not cheap. Probs you would also respect my opinion.

  • @legoman762005 after reading the reviews, im pretty sure that this is exactly what it is. Once you switch into developer mode, you can freely dual boot the "computer" into Ubuntu, which runs smoothly.

  • @legoman762005 yeah this laptop's specs are too subpar to justify its price. epic fail using the crappy atom here, which makes watching hd-videos almost impossible... terrible system!

  • sweet

  • second :L

Was waiting for this, just as good as i expected. nice one

  • APERTURE SCIENCE! Portal :D
