  • I don't understand why everyone is bitching about Sookie. She's not a normal human being to begin with being a telepath. Plus she lost her parents at an early age, lost her Gran to a serial killer, and got involved with vampires because she thought she could never be with a human man. Then she gets almost killed in every book. If you had lived thru the horrors that Sookie lives thru on a regular basis, you'd be a little selfish and want to protect yourself too.

  • You totally don't get the books. They are not romance novels. They are adventure stories. It's not about who Sookie ends up with. It's the journey that matters. And Sookie didn't screw up her relationship with Eric by breaking the blood bond. She was forced into the blood bond. Now she can be with Eric because it's her choice, not because she's influenced by his feelings for her. Did you expect their relationship to be perfect and never tested? That's just boring.

  • This video is genius. I wish you would make a follow-up now that you’ve finished the 11th book. This series is killing my soul too. I’m not even planning on reading book 12 or watching the 5th season of True Blood. I’m just going to read happy Sookie and Eric fanfiction and pretend things turned out better than they did.

  • You're not alone. I noticed that about Sookie too. If I was Sookie, I'd have dropped Bill like a bad habit & gone for Eric. I don't know who's worse: Sookie or Bella. I'd like to wack Sookie with a frying pan and push Bella off the cliffs at the res.

I ♥ Eric! And I think they picked the most perfect actor to portray him. Skarsgard = sex on legs.

  • this rules. i couldn't agree more!

  • I will be reading the fan faction because I am craving for some more of this story and can't wait for the next book for it. I am sure you already finished the book, will be interesting to see what you think about it, I actually though the spin she put at the end was very interesting and left me hanging. I really hope they make it work :)

  • Do more book reviews plz :)

  • I don't follow True Blood, but I can relate. I hate when your reading or watching something and you know that it's terrible but you're too emotionally caught up in it to quit and you have to finish it. It's so frustrating.

  • hahaha. you're awesome for putting that rant out there. i felt the exact same way when reading it. like WTF Sookie?! i eventually started to understand that it needed to happen though in order for her to fully realize that her feelings for him are real. unfortunately, she has always been on the dim side when it came to her emotions.

  • THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!

I really hope that Allan Ball will know better than to use books 10 and 11.

Don't you think that Harris just wrote them to earn more money?

She could have ended the series with the 9th book but instead she made killing Andre painfully long and boring.

  • I love this lol

  • I totally agree with you! I hated the 11th book, just such a waste of time! Sookie seems so whiny and the whole, "Sam is and actually has always been my best friend", "Sam has pretty hair" Sam this, Sam that.. made me nauseous! Sam is definitely NOT leading man material, mrs. Harris should know better.

  • I've read the books, (not seen the tv series). The 11th book was much better than the 10th. I agree they are not earth movin writting but it interesting enough to read. Just read it and forget it lol. I can't re read them,

  • keep reading ull see.........

  • omg i actually agree with you 100%. Im reading Dead Reckoning and it honestly ruined it. Charlaine Harris shouldn't have even wrote it. It ruined my liking for Sookie and shes just a selfish bitch. I am soooo angry at her character. I swear, if they make the show like that, I will be dissapointed.

  • TEAM ERIC FOR LIFE!

And no, I haven't opened both of those fics in a new tab. No siree... Because I don't read fanfic.... Yeah... *shifty eyes* Bye.

  • Also, I enjoy the books as well as the hbo series but I have to look at them as completely different things, especially the fairy stuff and Lafayette story line in this season! Alan Ball is very creative and I realize that he has to make it spicy enough for hbo but he could atleast try to stay alittle bit closer to the books!!! That is my main bitch!! I mean really... Lafayette died in the first book!!

  • I have read all the books and this last one I found myself chuckling and getting frustrated all the time!! I really really don't like Alcide anymore! Have never cared for Jannalynn, and by the end of the book I really got mad at Eric! There was alot going on in this book that took the characters away from where us as readers wanted them to be!! I feel ya!

  • LMAOOO! Finally someone that mirrors my exact thoughts about Sookie. I wanna smack that bitch sometimes. I really feel like this author has a wonderful set of characters and has created a magnificent world but as each book goes on I began to really loathe Sookie and her wish washy bs.

  • I have never read the books but I'm obsessed with the show. I am Team Eric and if this happens in the show I will be pissed like no other. I don't understand Sookie's either but I think she is suppose to be confusing.

  • OMG, U love to sing... me 2... U love true blood... and me too!!!! I sooo love you right now!!!!!

  • I can totally relate to your frustrations. While reading it was intense. Now that its been a few months ive found new things to be frustrated with.

  • I'm team Sookie.. I love her sooo much. I just finished watching the newest episode and I loved it but the weird Fairy thing at the beginning was just fucked. What are those?! I don't know fairies like those. I never read the books. It's likely to stay that way.

  • Team Eric!!! wOOt! I'm obsessed with true blood (tv series and book series) I completely agree with everything you said in this video. Sooo annoyed with Sookie

  • Welp I'm not reading this #LOL

  • And this is exactly why I stopped at the last book and will not read anymore :) Though I will say Charlaine Harris's Grave series is really, really good. There are only 4 books and the characters weren't ruined at all. Maybe you should try them.

  • man there was a discussion for true blood for imats :(

  • I really should just get you to explain all the books to me instead of reading them myself.

  • Sookie pissed me the hell off in Dead Reckoning. Worst book of the series. She is so selfish and self righteous. Have you finished the book yet?

  • hey now i am Team Bill haha...i might be the only one but hey i love my Bill Compton

  • omg ERIC fan fiction ... i love you Meghan!! :D xox

  • well i havent read the series or seen the show, but wht u've said, if i have it would probably drive me insane, like it kills me about how childish some characters are in books and like u just wanna jump into it and slap them cuz they just dont get it! ima book worm who gets way into her books, I back you up 100%, stuff like tht drives me off a cliff.

  • aorry to burst youe bubble but i hate true blood. it's another shinny emo vamp shit and it's stupid. i'm in to the traditional vamp stuff like dracula from brim stoker, and anne rice books to. but i still and being honest love my anime.

  • I haven't read the books or seen the show but to me it seems that the author is ruining her main character in order to prolong the story and to get more money for writing more books. I hate when authors do that. They need to write for the story and not for the fame or wealth.

  • I only saw the first season so ~Team Bill~

    DON'T BLOCK ME BRO

  • I've only read books 1-4 but now that I know there's more team Eric stuff going on cause those two should be together I'm going to have to get the books. Plus you are looking great btw

  • I havent read this series so I'm glad I haven't. Recommendation for reading is the Stephanie Plujm series by Janet Evanovich. I've never laughed so hard or been entertained by books as I have with these. Plus there addicting.

  • I haven't read the True Blood books... but these ramblings sound an awful lot like ramblings about Twilight :) Ooooh TWilight. Whiney, selfish, big things happening in a page or two while you have to sit around listening to people talk for ages and ages to finally even get to that point........ what is it with the undead and their girlfriends???

  • I am so happy that I am not the only person that feels EXACTLY like this!

  • I completely agree with you. Im pissed too

  • Team Eric, always! Ugh, hearing that just pisses me off. I'm actually leisurely reading the books right now and am paying extra attention to Book 4 'cause there's a lot of Eric, and while I was happy about the blood bond, I am now very angry with Sookie! How could she? To the wonderful Eric no less! DX I don't feel like reading that far anymore. :(

  • I looooooooooooooooove Eric... I've read 8 books so far, nr 5 was boring. But I haft to read book 9 and 10

  • I'm SO Team Alcide. FUCK Eric, FUCK Bill and FUCK Sam along with every other bitch.

  • @powerdrillXD Agreed

  • I managed to get through the first book and I wanted to kill someone. I love the show but the characters in the books are all so whiney and annoying and the constant drivel that is Sookie's thoughts bored me. It was like reading a piece of writing by a child: "I did this... They did that... We went to..." It was all so simplistic and repetitive.

  • season 4 tonight! ahhh! and hang in there meghan the book gets better ;) the blood bong thing really annoyed me though, haha x

  • I did not know you had so many YouTube incarnations. I just found you twice in the suggested channels in my sub inbox...Love both of the two you do in addition to ProjectLifesize...

    Great content on all three!

  • I'm on the third book right now. I've had the books for about a year now and had only read the first one, but I felt it was just so slow. But then I started the second book last week and it's way more fast paced then the first. But they're not the best books I've ever read (HP).

They remind me of the Twilight saga. I am completely irritated by the main characters (Bella and Edward, Sookie and Bill). They're always so annoying.

But I'm Team Eric all the way. Atleast he has a sense of humour.

  • I fully intended to read the books, I always enjoy books more then movies, but every series I've ever read that exceeds 8 or 9 books just comes off as milking it. So, I'm just sticking to the show on this one. Haha thanks for spoiling it with no disclaimer. =p

  • What's a team air rick?

I used to have some back issues. Caused by laying on my side and fiddling with the laptop while in bed. I basically stopped contortioning myself into those type positions and the back issues stopped. i.e. Sit up on the couch, not lay day sideways. Get a pillow that's just the right height for your head/neck. And stuff.

  • I am Team Eric all the way. By the time I got to book 10 I was annoyed by Sookie as much as Bella in Twilight. Both selfish, bitch, I am a victim and everyone should take care of me, I don't know who I should be with so I am going to use them to get what I want and then drop them when i feel like it. I don't understand where these women come from.I hope Pam rips her head off at the end or somebody kills her is some freak accident with no vamp, were,or fairy can save her. LIKE ALWAYS!!!!

  • I REALLY should not have watched this. I JUST started Season One of True Blood- like 4 episodes in- and this video was Spoiler City! But I did watch half, and the only way I made it through that half was my love for you and your face.

  • :3 This fan fiction site was been out there for a bit and it is Awesome ^^!! never really cared about True Blood lol

  • I totally agree with you. I think Mrs. Harris is trying to kill the series at this point, she says that: "Sookie is taking over her life". It has been down hill since the end of book 9.

  • Considering the fact that the link was pretty much made by force (or without her being "really" 100% ok with it, she just learnt to accept it) don't you think she's just breaking it to make it again later, her own way? Plus it's clearly a way to make their story goes longer and longer.

  • haha I was really pissed two when I first read it, but I reread it a few weeks ago.. don't hate it as much now. I saw you had a discussion going on, on you facebook wall, but I don't understand, why some like the tv-series better than the books. The whole thing about Maryann pissed me off in the 2nd season. What's the whole thing with her ancestors... I didn't like 8 minute trailer(etc.) about the other world and those fruits or whatever that was.....

  • Look out for "Feed", a wonderful book, it will make you feel better after Suki, oh by Mira Grant

  • Big Alexander Skarsguard makes everyone feel better. HOW COULD YOU NOT CHOOSE THE VIKING?!

  • *sigh ruined but i still love you megan lmao i gotta catch up

  • Yeah I found that Sookie Stackhouse books are good for traveling. They're quick, easy, and interesting. I too usually read them in a day, and since my family is big on road trips they're ideal for me. I'm sure once I get further into the series I will start to dislike it more, and as much has I usually hate fan fiction, I may have to go look into it for this series.

  • The True Blood books are alright, but they are indeed catchy, and I had to read them before the TV series aired. Team Eric! Fan-Fiction is amazing. At least the TV series makes an attempt at creating a Eric as a possibility. I haven't read the last two books but from the sounds of it, I don't want to. Sam will never be the right choice.

  • Meghan, I freaking love you. Even if you are a hooker for letting out some spoilers for me, because I haven't read the last two books...like I said on FB, I hate her writing but I read it for the characters and (sometimes good & interesting) storyline. But yes, Charlaine could have made Sookie a character someone we, the audience, could like, but instead she made her a flaky bitch. *sigh* I may have to take up reading TB fanfiction.

  • OMG Meghan You go off about books like me! YAY IM NOT ALONE :D

  • Yes yes yes yes yes! I'm 100% Team Eric too. I've read all the books and I completely agree! I wanted to throw the 12th book at the wall when that happened. My sister didn't understand why I was in such a bitchy mood while reading a book.

  • Oh eww. I don't want Sookie to be with Sam D:. Team Eric damn it!

  • i was team quinn for a while there... but def team eric

  • I have the first 8 books. Read 1 and 1/2 of them so far. I love the TV show so much more than the books because I cannot stand Sookie's inner ramblings. I might get through them some day. Meghan, you should read The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward. I'm tellin' ya, they're good!

  • I am SO addicted to True Blood and I am SO Team Eric but omfg. I HAAATEEEE the way Charlene Harris writes! And I am SO ANTI BOOK ELEVEN. I was so excited for it and now I want to stomp on it, piss on it, start it on fire, grind its ashes with a shit stained boot, and then spit on it. And yes, Sookie is the most vapid, shallow, empty "heroine" EVAR. Hate!

Thank you for the fanfiction. The only time I ever could stand Sookie was when she was under Eric's influence! Can't wait!

  • I am team Eric I love Eric! I can't get enough of him! I don't understand how after 11 books shes going to end up with Sam. Those books are like crack though they are basically horrible but I can't stop reading them. Also season 4 needs to be exactly like book 4 at least when it comes to Eric and Sookie.

  • I'm only on book 6 not sure I want to keep reading now. I'm thinking the shows much better! Its not very often I like the show more then the books :(

  • I felt the same way! the last book was beyond disappointing!

  • Fanfiction nerds ftw :):) I'm stuck on Dead as a Doornail. i bought all the books and now its a struggle to get through them :P:P

  • The Worst thing about the last book is that it ends at a cliff hanger and it just leaves you unsatisfied and then you have to wait another year for the next book.

  • I'm overall team Eric but I did like Quinn for the time that he lasted. The best thing Alan Ball and the writers of True Blood did to the character of Sookie is made her less selfish, holy hell some of the things she says and does in the books makes you shake your head

  • I don't even want to start the books now.....

  • I cant wait for season 4 and I am so totally Team Eric. Eric and Lafeyette are my favs

  • Man, If i don't get to see Eric naked in the season premiere I am going to be thoroughly butthurt! That man is sex on legs! Bill is obnoxious, but I love it when he say's "SOOKEH" It always makes me giggle. I haven't read the books, pretty much everyone I've talked to about them say's the show is way better so don't bother. I may give them a whirl though, I'm curious. I'm a fan fiction geek too, and I'm not a damn shamed! I will definitely reading the fan fictions you posted. Thanks Meghan! :)

  • @CosmicLoveMachine sorry but never ever is the show better than the books, just look how awful this season has become it was just so bad, Alan Ball has this notorious Bill boner, he always gives Bill stuff from other characters of the books, most of the time the scenes of Eric; Most people who read the books love Eric and they don´t even bring up the questions team eric team bill, I am so sick of this, while yes the last 2 books were not that exciting, the writing is still better than the shows

  • I just started reading the books, but now I'm not too sure I want to continue, lol. I think I'll just be a dork and read the fanfiction instead.

  • I don't want to read the book now.

  • ARGHHHH! I know. I was just like... I have no words to say because I was so angry, too.

I am going to read the fan fiction. I hope that the show is better. It starts again tomorrow!

If anyone is team bill, I will stake them.

  • I have never read the books... But watching this was extremely fun. And slightly confusing. XD

  • Those are 2 of my favourite fics :) These ladies do a much better job than Charlaine Harris in my opinion. fanfiction(dot)net/s/4570625/1/Let_Love_In by Terri Botta is also fantastic!

  • @haxxai that one is really really good.

  • I haven't read the books, but am excited for the new season!

  • I was going to wait to read the books until after the tv show ends now I don't even think I'll read them ever.

  • I love you. SOOOO MUCH.

  • I LOVE TRUEBLOOD!! I started reading the book too. I got about half way through :)

    You're awesome! I love you Meghan! :D
