Nice deer. I missed what would have been my first deer with the bow during the end of Oct. She gave me a 12 yard broadside shot and I choked. It was a big doe.

Good job.But crossbows arent bows in my opinion. A crossbow hunter is not a bowhunter. But it is better than using a high powered rifle from 300 yards lol.

I have killed 3 deer with my bow. 0 with a gun. im 15 years old. Bowhunting is way more fun than gun hunting. I shot my first deer, a little 7 point, at about 6 yards and dropped it ,and a nice doe at 30, she went 30 yards and died. and the last one a button buck at 15 yards and dropped it in its tracks also.2 were shot this season

I would have shot the half rack and left the young one to breed longer...the young one has a great body (as big if not bigger than the half rack). I think you have a well managed population with the start you have already on the body sizes. How do the does look, and do you have any bigger mature bucks that are breeding?

@redline1953 Thanks for the comment! We have some really nice doe here too. Checkout some of my latest vids where I show game camera pics from my land. There are some big bucks in the area too, in fact I took a 10 point a few years back that has 10 inch tines and was nearly perfectly symmetrical.

i was out hunting about two weeks ago and i was stitting in the tree stand and i dozed off and there was twodoes laying buy me no more then 30 yard so i i watched them for a good 2 hours then this huge deere walk in and i said this doe is freken bike and it cam 10 yards from me and it was a 4 pointer but 2 spikes on its for head and i nver got a shot bc he was facing me and then moved and i was drawing back and he backed up and took off and man i am 14 and i am upin the tree sand by my self
