umm... it's really hard to say, it all depends on what type of music you like...

I started off on electric, but I think that I'd recommend an acoustic, just because if you have an acoustic, you don't have to spend money on an amp, songs sound great on acoustic, and when you switch to electric, you'll find it even easier
