I always heard about She-ra, but I dont remember seeing it as a kid. After watching this first episode, its not that bad. I like the story so far and to me the animation is kinda funny.

I wish cartoons these days were like the ones in the 80s and early 90s. All cartoons now have no plot and focus on silly humor or girls wanting to look pretty & materialistic. What happened to the fanasty? Fighting for justice and good morals?

I have the box sets of this, but it's cool to have it on YouTube. It's true that the original movie "Secret of the Sword" is the first 5 episodes of the She-Ra series, but the 5 episodes were made for t.v. and then they decided to make it a movie so they cut it down and released it. I like the soundtrack and extra footage in these episodes. I also like the opening credits of the first 3 episodes so much more than the opening they used for the rest of the series.

You are right about the original title of the movie. It was first released as a film in March 1985 with the title Secret of the Sword. But when they released She-Ra as a series on TV in September 1985, Filmation Associates split the movie into five episodes (renaming them) and used them as the first five episodes of the series. They gave each episode a new title. Which are the titles you see listed here on youtube. I hope this helps everyone understand the confusion about the titles.

I had the entire He-Man collection, and my one cousin had the She-Ra collection. We loved playing with the toys and doing our own plots, so what we'd do is when she'd come over, she'd bring the She-Ra dolls, and when I'd go over to her house, I'd bring the He-Man figures so that we could put one together with a crossover.  It was always good times. We even had Catra and Evil Lynn join forces once and try to start their own army to overthrow Hordak and Skeletor, it was funny.

It came out in '85 she is he-man/Adams twin sister...Man this is when kids could be kids still. He-man and She-ra, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Jem and I believe G.i. joe were all after school cartoons. And the Saturday morning cartoons were Smurfs, Looney Toons, Snorks, Pac-man, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears and Dungeons and Dragons, etc. I could keep going. Now they have what...
