If you do this in the right type of bottle you can see the bottle expand as air rushes in.

I wonder if a racquetball placed on top after would get sucked in, saw something similar with a glass jug and hardboiled egg. If only I saw this at my old office, where we had those water containers and a gallon jug of methanol for solvent testing.
