All people can sing and this type of rep is a great challenge. The liturgy looks lovely as well.
considering the choir is consisted of all volunteers, many of whom who don't have any formal musical training, and this performance was after approximately 2-3 hours of working with this piece, I don't think we did too bad.
Ok - it's just. When they come from the pp to the f on Jesus (1:10), the altos, or some of them, are totally destroying the chill effect that this clean chord should make. It sounds as if they are trying to do some modern shit with flat nines. It's the highlight of the whole song and not the place you should sing out loud if you are not shure you have the correct note - amateur or not.
Other than that, I think it's fair when you consider the level of training you say this choir has.
