Hey, was wondering if your ginger beer is clear when u got around to drinking it? Mine is still very cloudy. Still in the secondary and dont want to bottle till its clear. Iv put it in my garage where its about 5c all day'n'night. Hope this will cold crash it and clear it out for me!
Tasted pretty darn refreshing at 2.2%ABV. Never tried bumping it up, but it would be easy - add more malt extract, or dextrose. Not sure how it would taste with the extra alcohol, because I have plenty of beers that will knock me out if I so desire :)
THRobinson - my sanitizer is a no-rinse formulation. It covers all surfaces with foam, and it only needs to stay there for 30s, and then you're done. No foul tastes yet in any of my beers.
Been trying to find this in Canada with no luck when I came across this video on google.
Gotta ask... what was the final gravity? or alcohol %?
Also, for the sanitizer... after sloshing it around in the fermenter did you have to rinse it or just pour it out and done? I may switch sanitizers if that's the case. :)
Your ABV may have been low because I think this kit is only meant to be made to 20L. I'm a fan of this ginger beer though.

Made some of this the other week... I made it about 5% (2kg of raw sugar) and it was awesme.
Got another one down and we made that 10%

yeah, not a whole lot of alcohol, but tastes great! i can drink buckets of this and get a surprise buzz.

At the start you say you add corn sugar but then later you say dextrose. Which did you use?
