  • Are third worlders children? Why cant they build their own damn houses.

  • we need some of those in jamaica.

  • Looks like one of Cal Earth domes, till you realise it is made of concrete, does not look like a sustainable home to me.

  • These single family dwelling's would no doubt cause massive urban sprawl.

  • I can't wait to have my own dome built. I've wanted one since I first saw them in 1988 when I first went to Irving, Texas to visit my Late Father and my Step-Mom. We were out one day and went through Italy, Texas where Monolithic Domes are and I said WOW I WANT ONE OF THOSE. Now a lot of people think I'm nuts. But there are Industructable!!!!!!! And last up to 500 years.

  • This is what we need to be focusing on! This is great.

  • Amazing Thanks You soooo Much.. please inquire to the availability of these homes... from Northern California... Peace be with you..

  • I live in the US.. even I would love one of these. What about the poor everywhere else?? Even America has people living on the street and these days its not just wino's.

  • @snaps81625 Well said Sir todays homes are simply inferior in all aspects. I dont live long enough to spend all my days repairing a pile of mold that gets knocked into splinters by wind. If someone were to design a larger one similar too a raised pancake or a snickers bar, boy the money and time they would make and save.

O gee, I wish someone would create that.

  • What does the inside look like?

  • I think this is an awesome idea, and a great looking house.

  • I don't have a home , i would love to have one . If i could find a acre or two cheap , i would build my own .

  • I want one!

  • As I was saying. To those sceptics I ask what are you doing to make this planet of ours a better place to live for all mankind .have you even come up with a viable solution with patents to prove it .if you had then you would understand that it is not a small undertaking and you would be more complementary of the effort required . With regard to the inflatable former patented by david south now out of Pattent . I give full credit . David and I speak regularly and share developments. Before we st

  • @TheDingleyDell hey sir, i live in a country where hurricanes/storms ravage's my neighborhood a couple times a year. and killing people from drowning. can this design of yours make a big difference for life and death? recently tropical storm sendong killed 700 more people in PH because of flood or poorly built homes. im soo concerned and worried that another big one would hit my country anytime soo and i fear of it everytime. can this project survive the most strongest of storms?

  • @TheDingleyDell Hi friend, I like the domes great idea!

  • Thanks for all the comments both in favor of my method and those against it . Unfortunately it's not possible to tick everyone's box some say use wood be green but to thod

  • @TheDingleyDell I like it a lot, is the voting still actual?

One question too, probably stupid. Is the dome simply placed at the ground or do you make a some sort of house foundaition too?

  • Desde Argentina Luz y Amor!! Olga Popow (no hablo, no leo ingles).

  • You didn't invent that method.

  • @txroye the point is he wants to build them

  • flingstones

  • I like this. I could live in something like this and I live in the USA!

  • I Loved it and for a great cause!

  • I like the home good job. Thank you for the video

  • In bed with the masters of economic destruction?

  • Just Africa? Wow, these are terrific!!

  • This is fantastic,

  • My father used to build this exact Dome Style home back in the 60's and 70's; he would also use preforms for the doors and windows, which attached to the blow-up shell.

  • got my vote

  • i want one!

  • This looks similar to Nader Khalili's earth domes I learned about at caleearth.

    org

  • @Bookwormygirly It looks similar, but look at all the non-indigenous materials used to build it. Prefab doors&windows, a generator, gas, air pump, a large petroleum based balloon, concrete etc.. Cal Earth uses on site materials minus the bags, cement & barbed wire, so they're a lot more affordable & can be built w/ local labor. Seeing Barclay's Bank on here is a red flag to me. This looks like another "greenwashing" exercise so banks can put more peeps in debt. Sorry to be so negative but....

  • I thought Dave South was the one that invented this? I don't know what you invented you didn't give it much detail but you did show a method invented and patented in the USA by Mr. South in the 70's his foundation has been building dome homes in third world nations for many many years now you can go to his page by googling mdi Dome home there you will see I have been involved on his blog since around 2005. What is nuts is we have more houses than we have occupants but we have plenty homeless?

  • What if you could build a Monolithic dome with 2,600 sq ft of living space, costs 10% of a the average home to build, and provides protection and efficiency from its 24in thick wall? Watch A HOME FIT FOR ROYALTY

  • U guys rock

affordabel housing can create peace in the world

after all extremist do not have anything to live for except a god or radical belief

Zoning laws in America force americans to continue to plunge deeper in a hole.

Its time for people to move foward and create equality .

Prisons could be reduced and true happiness can flourish with a home.

I can honestly say that I would not have commited crimes and stolen and even hurt people if I could just life independently .

  • @TitosToolBox Meta-economics now rule standards of living; if you haven`t got a wallet then the system doesn`t respect you. I can imagine a village of these quickly becoming shanty squaller without some kind of regime.

What kind of responsibility does a land owner want?

  • The only thing that displeases me about this, is that I really wish we'd (the collective human populace) look into building dome homes for low income families in 1st world countries as well.

Seriously, it's a good design, and we also have millions of people who need adequate shelter and don't have it, so WHY NOT?!

  • @PurpleGhost

thanks for your comments I agree with you and when the local planning office gets to appreciate dome buildings as a more practical way of living then hopefully we can all live in the round ! until then i just do what i can to push the project forward
