Just hook up the strobe terminals and not the terminals to the horn.
or if it is never going to make sound agian, cut the wires to the speaker.

In the back of the fire alarm there should be little swithches that you flick up and down. Thats what changes the tones.

I had someone switching the tones behind the alarm.
dinner time.........anyway how did you change tone without turnng the vid off? 5 star for the weird alarm tone like eddie said.

True. They have these at a local Wal-Mart. Not sure what they are set to, but since it was first built sometime before 1996, I'll guess they are either in continuous horn or continuous bell.
