I'm an energy drink fanatic, and the most caffine I've ever seen in one is 280mg (in Cocaine). I think this "professional" is exaggerating just a bit.
@lancealot1995 u should try spike hardcore energy 350mg caffiene iv been drink energy drink for 6 years and it still gives me a buzz also it has 2000mcg of vitamin b12 lot of enrgy and i think a lawsuit
Excuse you, Mr. dumbass expert person. You aren't 'injured' by drinking an energy drink immixed with alcohol. You're injured via blunt force trauma after deciding to DRIVE after drinking such a thing. ;)
This guy is retarded. He tells you the max caffeine energy drinks CAN have but that's not close to the average. An average cup of Starbucks coffee has 150 mg of caffeine, while their biggest one has 330 mg. A 16 oz. Monster has 160mg of caffeine with around 50g of sugar. A 16 oz can of coke also contains around 50g of sugar but with 100mg less caffeine. So, an energy drink in my opinion is just a soda with more caffeine in it. This guy WAY oversensationalizes it. It's fine in moderation.
thats bs I looked up energy drink caffeine mg and all of them are under 300 mg. Spike is one highest and it only has 300 mg and this guy is saying up to 500 wtf?
Look guys.. the point isn't if it's comparable to coffee. It's all the excess sugar and caffeine you are putting into your body (diet). That isn't healthy. The problem is people aren't just having "two a week". People who drink energy drinks have them daily or twice daily! I used to be one of these people. Why do we feel the need as a society to pump this stuff into our blood? Go get some Green Tea for energy!
@LemonTree224 it bothers me because my brother can spend his pay check on energy drinks he usually drinks 2 big ones A day everyday nonstop we tell him to stop but its like after the person addicted its like talking to a damn wall i currently have no addictions and my bank account its pretty good but if you see his im 10 years younger and im probably richer than him because hes paying to his own health problems i hope not but its just the truth.
@EDGAR15ish GOOD! Keep it up. One day when you have kids be sure to pass them the message. I don't blame your brother. Think about all the advertising that promotes this crap. They have million dollar budgets and celebrities. Its up to the new generation to see through the smoke and mirrors!
The majority of energy drinks (Rockstar, Monster, Amp, etc) have 160 mg of caffeine in a 16 oz. can. Coffee has about 100 mg per 8 oz. cup, and a 20-24 oz. coffee from Starbucks contains about 330-350 mg of caffeine, so the amount of caffeine in energy drinks is very similar to coffee and is nothing to make a fuss about.
monster only has 32g of Caffeine in it, I don't gain weight from monster, I've never had a fit or seizure from it, I drink LOADS of water so I'm not dehydrated and I don't drink them before or during sports and I look after my teeth and I've been drinking them every day for 3 years. So basically, I have NO reason to stop.
Drinking a energy drink while watching this also. I was fine with it, since I drink an energy drink once a week, but then I noticed that there is 36 grams of sugar in it..
@energydrinkperson06 Oh yeah I forgot about that one. We call it Tiger Blood.

@OmegaGonja Me to, I like the taste but I also like to time it so I still get moving.
And the guy said it's 10 times a cup of coffee? Okay fair enough but coffee addicts go through 10 cups a day anyway.
