Everyone was telling me how "UNIQUE ZOMG!!" sounding this album was and how different it was to their commonly reffered to counterpart, CoB. I hate to say it. I really do, but the intro riffs is almost an exact copy of the intro riff from Bed of Razors by CoB. I don't know what happened there. Ironicly enough though, I was reassuring myself before the song started that this was not going to sound anything like CoB. But thankfully this is the only song that I've heard so far that sounds like it.
Considering it was late in my last reply, I would just like to mention the fact that Hatebreeder by CoB came out before Swamplord by Kalmah... So yeah.
By the way, I've been reading some CoB reviews on metal archives and some of the bashing they receive is fucking ridiculous. I noticed that a majority of the negative reviews were trying to dig up anything they could to say that "sellouts suck, and being kvlt is the best way to live".
Kalmah and Archeon/Made Of Hate BOTH sound similar to CoB, but with one difference. They're both much fucking better. Alexi Laiho's only worthy band was Sinergy.

Because the only noticeable thing in CoB is the keyboardist, and frankly, if I want to listen to a keyboardist, then I'll listen to Bobby Williamson in Outworld. BUT Bobby provides an excellent balance to Rusty Cooley's shred solos. And that's what it's all about, BALANCE. Children Of Bodom have no balance, they have a keyboardist, but very rarely does Alexi balance out Jane Wirmann, even though he is capable. Kalmah and Archeon/Made Of Hate are very well balanced on the other hand.

Yeah, that's the thing. How often has science been disproven before. Every 20 years at least one big thing has changed the entire outlook on science. It's like saying love doesn't exist, I've never seen it! According to science, love doesn't either, it's just a reaction of chemicals in your head. So either nothing spiritual exists whatsoever, or science is just not advanced enough to prove anything spiritual yet. I'd prefer to think the latter, because I find just science alone as a bit dull.

Yeah, that's the thing. How often has science been disproven before. Every 20 years at least one big thing has changed the entire outlook on science. It's like saying love doesn't exist, I've never seen it! According to science, love doesn't either, it's just a reaction of chemicals in your head. So either nothing spiritual exists whatsoever, or science is just not advanced enough to prove anything spiritual yet. I'd prefer to think the latter, because I find just science alone as a bit dull.
