Been there, done that. 10 years sailing in the US merchant Marines. On the ULCC's, (The REALLY, REALLY REALLY big tankers, you could see the ship flex.
the only violent thing i consider is the manner in which you stroke your cock every night in your cabin....perhaps you should pay north sea a small visit...
EPIC LOL. would have to agree with you there, i sailed through a cyclone off east coast aus and did a rough stint in the southern ocean 30 degree rolls were average, my first sea month. good times.
That ship is at least a football field and a half long....several thousand tons of oil sloshing around inside...think about the stress that has to put on the framework of the ship...
Think about the stress my foot is gonna put up your pussy if you talk about my mom again fuckbag. Those frames are designed to stretch and bend to a point so that they last longer. We learned a good while back rigidity isn't always good in alot of vehicles.
Been there and seen that. It is amazing when the shp hits the wave or vise versa the whole ship just shudders and wobbles from stem to stern. Great Stuff. Thanks for the memories. SS Connecticut 1978 United States Merchant Marine.
we have a rule on my ship, you dont do anything that cant be easily explained when something goes wrong... and it will go wrong. thats just plain stupid.
And I was commenting on your error of judgement. There was no need to be sarcastic - 'and your point is...?' You didn't realise that this vessel wasn't carrying oil in the first place.
were passing atlantic rightnow bound to gibraltar, spain loaded with naptha from venezuela, the wind force is 20 against us with white caps, and we are stable bcoz we are loaded! unlike this tin can which is on ballast...
You bet me what now? Because as far as I know you don't have to be American to speak English. Wait let me guess, you're english, right? Because you haven't a job now.
I beg to differ, as an ex Merchant Navy Engineer, looking at tthat deck design, its just a small/medium sized refined fuel carrier or Product Tanker, depending on how you look at it. The deck looks more cluttered than it actually is, a lot of the longitudinal lines are reinforcement girders, and the lack of deck machinery room mid way means this is not an early LNG design either.
Also, Crude Oil tends to be dispersed in larger pipes as they retain the heat more efficiently (crude needs to be heated quite high in order for it to be pumped). Higher grade fuels are easier to transport/pump and dont need piping of such large diamater.
I would have to agree with Travelguy. This is not an oil tanker. By looking at all piping on the deck, it's a dead giveaway that this ship is carrying petroleum products like gasoline or naphtha.
i've done up and down in biscay bay for 11 months with a chemical tankers, 10 000 in DWT.Can you imagine what means winter time in that fuckin' waters? I wanna forget it...
i'd sailed on supertankers.gigantic waves are just nothing when these VLCC are loaded but it will roll too much when they are sailing on ballast.my last ship was the smallest it was just under 5000 tons GRT and we sailed the PACIPIC OCEAN with just a meter of draft.....most of the times battling those tropical storm......and it was raelly Scary coz it was built in 1957!hopefully i've done my contract with her.
