  • I must say I hope you actually put this intoa choreography it looks so fun and flirty!!! A wonderful improv.

  • lol thank u sweetie... that is the thing being spontaneous is part of what makes the dance special and hard to do in choreo... maybe I will try it oneday. thx u for your comments :-)

  • good :)

whats the name of the song?

  • nice movement and dance :) 5 stars

  • hi sweetie perfect as always

  • thank u!! :-) have a happy fun-filled day!

  • This is the best improv I have seen! What a great dance! I would play this over and over and try to memorize it! Lol! Keep up the awesome work! YAY ISHTAR BELLYDANCER! Woohoo!

  • oh dear ishtar, so lovely, i can´t dance so, iam still practising and practising...

    kisses

  • i watch your videos almost every day - you really have something egyptian about you!!!!!!!!

the subtlety and playfulness i think!!

it s rare nowadays, unfortunately, coz so few egyptian girls dance, and most non egyptians dont have it. it s impossible to learn i think. mashaAllah, god wanted it, you have it!

  • thank you xxxx I love the Egyptian music!! It makes my body sing to the music!!

  • ya i agree most non egyptians dont have it but you ishtar you def have the thing

    it's called mowhiba in arabic!!!!!!

  • ya exactly she definitely has something in her manner :)

  • l like watching you dance. it's very playful and appealing how you mix up the movements. is that your room? do you always have it decorated like that?

  • thanks :-), this is my dance studio, accept it is filmed at a different wall. Yes, it is permanently decorated, sometimes I change things around, and I like my special room gives a lovely ambience to dance in!

  • very sweet and lovely!

  • thanks beautiful dancer Dina from Vienna..? xx

  • :D

so far only "private dancer" (family/friends) and dancer in plainclothes in restaurants ;)

I intend on learning technique - and who knows? unlikely I ll become a professional dancer but it s temptin.

I ve loved the dance ever since I was a child. First tabla music i heard on tv i jumped up and danced at age 8 or sth. My family found it amusing but is VEEERY much against the idea of me bellydancin...

I ve been offered jobs in restaurants and been told I was good by respectable ppl :)

  • but never as good as you I fear but that s ok ;)

do you teach/where? or have dvds?

  • oh, you are sweet, actually the beautiful thing about bellydance is that everyone has their own style, and I am always still learning and improving too!! :-) I think you never stop improving till you die! I teach a small class here in humble New Zealand... I don't have dvds, because learning I think needs a teacher in person to help correct you as you learn.

  • ah... well, sounds like you are Egyptian yes? It is hard for the family to accept you bellydancing publicly.. but, if you are heart is with it, I am sure they will come around and support you. Go for it!

  • A truly beautiful and playful dance.

The music give you the magic to do,

feel and expressed yourself with joy in your heart.

  • thank you so much for your appreciation and time to watch my videos so regularly !

  • incredible improv Ishtar :-)

  • Awesome I just love watching your videos :o) Its amazing how much the hand movements guide the rest of the moves at least that is the way I feel when I try my own fun stuff here LOL. Beautiful thankyou for sharing :o) Jammie
