Sure, Americans don't have much of a unique culture to speak of imho, but hey, what's wrong with being proud about it? Sure, they're technically from Europe, but almost nobody in the world today are the original inhabitants of their lands. Germans came from Denmark and the northern countries, Scots came from Ireland, etc. etc. What's important is who they identify themselves as TODAY.
