I'm just gonna say it : I usually don't appreciate Alexander Desplat's music... (I guess I'm biased towards french music *winks*) But this... This is a MASTERPIECE (which came even more as a surprise for me, considering it's from my least favorite composer). So I guess I'll have to moderate my opinion from now on : I'm so glad to be able to say now 'I LOVE DESPLAT'S MUSIC' :)

The Painted Veil is my favorite soundtrack, which unbelievably and perfectly combines elegant western classical music and gripping exquisite chinese atmosphere. So glad to listen to this main theme here!
