I didn't like MBW until SF said his opinion. I used to side with SF fans. I pass MBW art everyday & it makes me think & feel. SF art makes me confused & overwhelmed & angry in agreement of his political statement. SF is strategic & MBW isn't. SF is trained & MBW isn't But what is art? If I say it's art. It's ART. SF ur feelings about MBW just revealed that u are NOT an artist b/c u would've known that u cannot say what is art. Ur just mad he got in ur club with the cool kids & didn't pay dues...

@dvdvanity according to arthur danto and immanuel kant and many other famous thinkers on art, there are certain qualifications. if mbw cant explain his art work, which he tries but in the end it doesnt make any sense, while SF does have meaning aka conceptual art which is pretty much what post modern art is- then SF is correct. MBW is just creating stuff with no meaning behind his work or beauty. its a joke

@Artofbeauty just because you are an Art student doesn't make you an artist. Just because you took dance lessons does not make you a dancer. You do not need to be trained to be what you are. Even if you consider it what you do. Is is exactly what art is meant to do... start discussions. And art can only be created by an artist. So the question is... is Mr. Brainwash the art piece more than his creations?

@EncoreDemos his "art" is not "Art" it's only a reflection of others arts and an imitation. You are obviously not an artist because if you knew anything about you know that art is a LABOR OF PASSION. You don't just pick up a brush or pen at 40 years old and suddenly become an artist. Being an artist starts from years of unexplainable favor toward the field. It can sometimes start as a hobby for kids but turns into a challenge of life, that turns into a career based off passion.

@EncoreDemos for nothing because it's about the pleasure and happiness we get from making something and getting it out of our heads. Every artist, whether they work as an accountant by day or even a stripper, will always come home to their art. I don't know any artist that took a paint brush off a shelf at 40 years old and a burst of passion exploded into them, changing their entire mindset and growing the aesthetic muscles of their brain. LIFE in general does not work that way.

@MrSiggy125 Dancing & Music are considered art. Many music artists became famous off of songs that they did not write themselves! MBW is a artist. If you remember correctly Andy had many people help him SCREEN PRINT so-called "art" by the thousands. Sounds like someones a bit jealous eh? @MrCuntface1 Interesting you say that, Mr Fairey just digitally traces things from previous art works. Both artists use appropriation, but in different ways. I'm not standing up for MBW, just pointing out neither of them can draw. Neither of these 2 artists create truly original works, just stolen and altered images. Fits into post modernism quite well though, which is sad, as they could do so much more if they learned how to draw =S.

@MarqueeMagic Not really, Warhol mostly created his own stuff and could draw. Banksy took the idea of rats from Blek yes, but he didn't physically trace Bleks artwork and pass it off as his own. Taking ideas from other artists or people isn't really infringement, but physically tracing their work is. Thats mainly what Shepard does, physically traces other artists works and passes them off as his own. And MBW just has a crew of artists stealing stuff for him. Its really quite silly actually

Mr. Brainwash is the epitome of TOY! Everything about his "art" is plastic and his name perfectly sums him up as an individual. He had every opportunity to gain real respect and clout through personal experiences with true artists, but instead of taking advantage of helping hands, he leeched off other individuals paid dues and brainwashed the easily manipulated to fabricate a false persona. An oxymoron in my opinion & congrats to the toy soldiers that contributed pointless money towards "shit"
