@RRFCaptain Basilisk is an excellent manga but the storyline is greatly flawed, the character Tenzen being one of them. He is supposed to be immortal and has lived longer than everyone else, possibly hundreds of years, what was he doing at that time? He should have been training and even if he doesn't possess other special abilities, his basic swordsmanship and ninja skills should be epic. He should've been much more powerful, like an old vampire.

@skyisfelling I don't know if you watched it but Tenzen is a few hundred years old yes, because his body is the host to a parasite which keeps him alive, and he should be more skilled but at the same time he is used to dying.. I don't know, if it was your anime you could have him be more powerful I guess :P

@loggnogg I watched both the anime and manga, i prefer the manga because of the horrible english dub (Okoro sounds pathetic!). Tenzen was one of my fav characters because i loved the scheming type of villain, plus he wasn't totally evil, he was still loyal to his clan, which is something i love about character development. It's just too bad he was so arrogant and reliant on his regen ability. All in all it was a great series but story felt too cramped and short...

@Something5802 Incorrect. Oboro just doesn't know how to use his skill whenever she pleases. She actually has a eye technique similar to Gennosuke and Hyouma except hers are able to literally stop someones skill by staring at them. A major example was when Tenzen had his head cut off but it still tried to regenerate and she looked at it and the parasite screamed and the head exploded. Jingoro when he was trying to spy on Gennosuke to kill him Gen sensed him and he fled when Oboro saw him he fell
