Gorgeous Ibanez. Many years ago, I had a tobacco sunburst Memphis with the same scrolled, "F-style" headstock. The inlays look the same too. You don't see that often!
That Ibanez showed the world that Japan wasn't messin around when it came to quality guitars, man.
I've got one I played twice, and it is superb. The action is a little high, but my family of Gibsons has me pretty much spoiled when it comes to that.
The strings are at least 15 years old and it has kept itself in tune this whole time while lying in it's cumfy little case. Every once in a while I'll take it out and look at it, but that's it.
thanks. Oh that guy has commented the same way before. He's some guy that probably saw me kill on stage or envies my writing skills and wishes he could do it so he's got a stick up his butt. Anyone named after a dude in GnR can kiss my hairy a**.
I have a VT-22. I have no clue how you made that head sound so bad. Sounds like dogshit. Crank it pussy. Keith Richards used this same amp during the Sticky Fingers days. Kyuss sucks. You're giving it a bad name.
Crank that thing faggot and tune up - Keith wasn't tuned to Z or whatever lame nu metal drop tuning you are using. Pete Townsend does not approve of your video
Uh, where's your videos if you're so great?Clearly you are lacking in certain rock knowledge. This ain't no nu-metal tone izzy. Anyone who would think so is obviously clueless. Pete Townsend doesn't use ampegs, so again you're missing something stradlincool. funny how you seem to be the only one commenting in such a way. Get a life and learn how to play guitar
the V4 makes a really great bass amp if you can get by with it's power. If you play in a really loud band you might need more watts. You can use that 4x12 and it should be fine if you take it easy. Too much bass might destroy the speaekrs. An 8x10 is amazing. the amp will sound great and growl with no pedal, but the odb3 is a good choice and will also sound good
Sweet tone man. I'm considering using my V4 as a bass amp. I haven't had a chance to yet so I figured I'd ask you if you've had any experience doing so. I am currently using the Ampeg V412 speaker cabinet with the head, which I'm thinking would have to be replaced if I were rocking a bass through it. What do you think? I'm also thinking of using my Boss ODB-3 overdrive bass pedal with the rig to give it some growl.
yeah man, it is totally awesome! I couldn't resist dropping the p90 in there, and I'm glad I did. Takes the D standard tuning well. If it had a neck pickup it just might eclipse the radness that is my 69 SG special.

Rock on.

if you actually had the v4's volume all of the way up everything in your house would just spontaneously combust.
plague1715 2 years ago
not exactly, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. I crank it fairly often. depending on the guitar, it's louder with some than with others.
eyeprod 2 years ago
I've never gotten my v4 past 10o'clock because it can get painfully loud.
plague1715 2 years ago
try rolling back the treble a bit. if you usually crank the treble the thing is painful, no doubt

I have a '73 Custom Agent. They are incredible. I put the Zakk Wylde set of EMG's in it. I've never seen action quite like it.

awesome sound.
Stupid question maybe, but which v4 is that ? an early one ? or a distortion model?
KEVXEDGE 2 years ago

Awesome sound. It's thick but not overly "distorted". Very cool.
