You want to approach the ball on your toes rather than flat footed, it makes it much easier to discipline your foot to hit it the right way. Left foot shots won't make a difference or any harder/easier.

Dont listen to the people that talks about an "inside-hit". just strike the ball very hard, on the middle of the foot, and on the middle of the ball. let the foot go stright through the ball, not across, stright through. Look right, this video is pointless because its not as much about WHERE on the ball you hit it, as it is HOW you hit it.

If you watch him, Ronaldo hits the ball with a different technique to everyone else. I can't explain it, but I can do it =D

But thats the important thing, watch how he hits the ball and you will learn more than watching videos like this.

hey people I've got a question : Why does the ball when nakamura/ronaldinho or Ronaldo shot it dip at the end? Cause I'm trying that on an on and when I do the knuckle shot for example the ball wobbles but it doesn't dip like ronaldos. Or when I do a freekick in ronaldinhos way, it flys just the same but it doesn't want to dip!!! How can I change that??

the valave technique is a big myth

its only a visual aid for you to identify where on the ball your aiming for

if you kick a ball on the valve it doesn't punch into its bladder, if it did all it would do would increase the density of the ball not make it dip or swerve, merely denser... and barely at that
