wonder what he was feeling when he wrote this,, so sad,,, humans can have such a beautiful mind like einstein, shakespere, and beehtoven, ,,,,,, but the down side is jack the ripper, hitler(not praising him), and napoleaon,, it works both ways!! to me thats what this song represents, how beautiful we are and how cruel we can be!!

And after all, we're only ordinary men... I love Us and Them, but this is a lot more beautiful rendition... Wish they would've left Us and Them like this with the vocals, or at least make a version of it. Still, Pink Floyd is the greatest and best band ever, and Richard Wright is one of the best musicians and composers of all time. Rest In Peace.

You're crazy dude. I play both of them, and if you turn them from notes into degrees (i don't know if it's called like that, because i'm brazillian), it will become the same chords from 'us and them'. Just try to sing the song on this progression and you will notice that they're almost the same. :)
