  • Cab you take videoss?

  • @brookeyboo9 Bo you can'tt

    (No, you can't)

  • Download Rhapsody for Verizon.

    Google search: Verizon Rhapsody

The third or so hit is a link to the free software you need.

    vcastmusic.rhapsody.con

  • how do you put music into this phone? i cant figure it out!...

  • @whslions1 you the usb cord sync it to your computer

  • You sir, need to vaccum.

  • Yes, but it's a 3.5mm jack instead of 4.5mm, so you'll either need an adapter or headphones with a mic.

  • @psp1024 its 2.5mm . and its 3.5mm

  • @iKaveoProductions Oh right, thanks. :-)

  • does it have a head phone jak

  • super informative, it answered questions i had that werent covered in other videos. thanks

  • @heylookazombie Glad it helped. :-) If only I could afford to review a lot of new electronics. :-D

  • They had delivered it within two days to the Verizon store.... However at the time it was special ordered since you were only supposed to get it online and we technically purchased it from the store.... so, IDK how long it would take now.

  • how long did it take for you to get your phone once you ordered it?

  • hey how do you get download/sideload music from your computer to your razzle? idk how to do that. could you post a video of it please =]

  • @Laughloveliax3 Since I know I won't get around to posting another video......

You need Rhapsody for Verizon VCast. Hope that gets you on the right track....

  • from 1 - 10 wat rating do yew give it .??

  • @wish4choppers As a standard phone, 8. As someone looking to take advantage of all it's declared features, 6?

Personally the reason I like it is it's full QWERTY keyboard.... that's why I got it. So, it's great for me.

  • just ordered it like 10 minutes ago online.! cant wait to get it =]

  • does it have the messaging divided up into contacts? like the newer phones were you go to messaging and click on the contact and it is just the conversation between you and the person?

  • @93cherokeesport If you go into the txting section it shows all the messages divided by contact.

You can not access the txts from the contact menu however.

  • I have to be by the door or window. Also at times there is a clicking noise that can be heard at the other end of the call line? Under warranty but having problems getting this fix! I told Verzion that would like a LG Chocolate but a $35.00 restocking charge for the Razzle! It's a lemon way restock it. It's like a lemon car you are not going to buy the same can again would you? Not me

  • Have this phone and will get a different one as soon as I can! this is cheaply made and works great out side only!

  • @buster1173 I've really never had an issue with coverage. I think it's dropped a call for me... twice? I don't even remember though. And I've had it for 4 months.

  • Ok thanks

  • Can u record things on it ?

  • @Splendaboy2 Voice yes, video no.

  • @Splendaboy2 Nope.

  • I'm planning on purchasing this phone online tonight and I'm curious to know how responsive the voice commands are? My other phone (a Nokia 2605 Mirage (which is what I'm replacing because of a broken inner screen) had horrible voice commands that you couldn't understand at all.

  • Not the best.... I've never been proud of Verizon's voice commands interface though.

  • i just got it today love it i just still am having problems transefering music from my mac to it help enyone?

  • How is the texting on this phone? Are the keys too small? Thanks

  • Despite being the same dimensions overall as a blackberry a lot harder to type on then one. Because of the curves of the phone it has smaller keys, and almost every time I type a txt I end up mis-hitting a key. Not horrible though.

  • is the phone big in size

  • Same size as a blackberry, but smaller keys

  • the small blackberry or the bigg blackberry

  • Which models are you referring to?

  • how do you actually get music on it

  • hey if someone sends you a sound can you save it as a ringtone i really want this phone and i was wondering if it has this feature

  • Pretty sure that's what I do.... I use the mobile17 website that sends you txts with music, and then can be used as ringtones. Don't know if there's anything special about how they do it though.....

  • ok thanks

  • how was the call quality on the Razzle? cause i am considering getting it

  • Never had an issue with call quality.... it's good.

  • good thanks

  • can you recieve mms video? i know you can't record video, but can recieve mms video?

  • Pretty sure you can't... limited messaging services on my plan, so I haven't tried.

  • it kinda sucks since I want this phone or Env touch... i hate my Voyager, im currently on my 4th one.... :( so i hope i get this one or env touch... but it sucks for me since the verizon store i go to doesnt have Razzle on display so i cant play with it.

  • do you have to swivel the keyboard to music player when you put it in your pocket? so it wont brake?

  • You don't have to.... it just fits better in your pocket if it's straight.

  • ok thanks! :)

  • does it come with earphones

  • Nope.

  • Have you tried transferring image files to the phone via the data cable as yet? I keep getting error messages. They read that the device is not connected. Even though I can memory card. Have you had this problem?

  • Haven't tried that yet, actually..... However when Verizon switched my contacts from my old phone they were also supposed to switch my pictures, and oddly enough only one actually transfered....

  • one more thing, the headphone jack is a size smaller, so regular size headphones wont work.

  • Yeah my old phone was like that but you can buy a little adaptor that you can plug a regular pair of headphones into to make it fit.

  • what are the adapters called

  • A lot of people talk a lot of shit about this phone and they dont even have one. I got one and I havent had any problems. The speaker quality is amazing for how small it is. If you wanna kick back smoke some weed and listen to some music in a room with some pplz you can. Picture quality is good too. The downside is no video. But other then that, I'm happy to have this phone.

Also easy as hell to put music on it. You plug it in your computer, and open the folder that pops up and drag music in

  • How is the speakerphone quality? Can people hear you clearly, and vice versa? Thanks.

  • I haven't had a problem... surprisingly good, actually. I was sitting in the back seat of a car and the driver could hear the directions that were being given over the phone..... street names and such. As far as I know other people could hear me as well, for they've never asked what I was saying.

I even had it in my pants pocket once and if I talked loudly they could still hear me.

  • dude you need a vaccum

  • Dude, we have a *vacuum.*

That's the lounge in my dorm, and one of my unit mates practically lives in there. I'm not wasting my time every few days to vacuum up his mess.

  • lol okay okay calm down dude.. damn lmao

  • how do i put misic on it

  • does this phone support web browsing?

If it does, how is it?

  • It does, but I don't have a data plan so IDK. It's set up to be like a smart phone, but a cheap one, so I'm guessing it's browsing wouldn't be great......

  • how much can the inbox hold and can u fwd on it coment my page

  • 200 txts

  • is this a sturdy phone and what is some of the great features about it and how is the camera

  • So far I love most everything about the phone...

    Reasons to buy?

It's inexpensive, has a full qwerty keyboard, and is kind-of made of to be a cheap non-os smart phone.... like a blackberry that won't run any apps or any other os, sort of thing.

The camera is okay.... haven't taken many pictures with it. It does not have a video camera though.

  • or at least maybe do a video about it? :) thanks

  • Do a video about....?

  • oh lol im sorry my first comment must have gotten deleted. okay, so im getting pretty frustrated with putting music on it. i cant find a driver for the phone so it doesnt work with the computer when i just plug it in and press sync. could you please do a video on how to put music on it ? :P

  • it supports threaded messaging right? and would you tell me how much can the inbox hold. thanks

  • Sorry for the delay.

76 in my inbox so far.... not many, but not full yet.

As for threaded messages, I haven't used it before... I'm not sure how it works. So far the txt messaging that I've done is not threaded......

However, 'Chat' that I've never used before... uses Mobile web, which I don't have.

  • 200 messages in the inbox, and still looking to clarify things with Verizon about if 'Chat' is an extra charge, and if that entails threaded messages.

  • dam at 5:10, smart, those basterds got me thinkin i got i phone with amazin speakers when only one speaker actually works. they r loud but i think the envy's speakers r just as good. Still a pretty cool phone, its a dumb smart phone. It does impress a lot when i pull it out though.

  • I think it just has both speakers on one side.... it has to have two, since it did boast the stereo speakers.... but no one ever said they had to be where they should be.

Yeah, not a smartphone but kinda looks like one and is meant to have the feel of one....

  • How long can i use the music player without doing anyhting else ?

like the music player bettery life.

  • I haven't tried that yet.... of course it would be different if used in Airplane mode as well, but the battery hasn't been cycled enough times to get it's full potential out of it.... After a few more drain/charge cycles I'll turn on the media player and let it run out for you.... sorry if that isn't for another week or so.

  • Okay. So, the battery died finally last night. Fully recharged in 4:30 by the time I woke up, and so far today it's run 9 hours of music player with volume all the way up and I haven't even lost a single bar of battery..... pretty sweet if I do say so myself. I'll keep it running tomorrow, but can't leave it on overnight since I use it as my alarm.

  • Wooooooooooow. thats so good !

and i have another question lol

can i use the usb cord to get music into the phone?

  • Yes. You do need a Windows PC, and to download Verizon/Rhapsody's free software though.

Oh, and this afternoon it finally lost one bar of battery.

  • Whoa, how long did it last?

  • Another 4 days without charging, but I didn't use the media player anymore after those first 9 hours....

  • Oh one more question lol

are you allowed to text while playing music?

  • Yup. Quite handy that way.... you can do everything that doesn't involve audio..... txt, take a picture, use any tools, things like that. And if you make a call, it pauses it until you're done with the call.

  • Do you know if i'm allowed to just buy a GB micro SD card. Put it into the computer with a reader, and just drap and drop from there?

    and thanks for the answers

  • Unfortunately I tried that without success. (btw, it supports up to a 16GB micro SD card)

The software is free though, so assuming you're using a PC you shouldn't have any issues......

  • does it come with free games?

  • Nope. No free games. Games may be downloaded through Verizon's V-Cast service, which I don't use.

  • Hey i have two questions.

Are the buttons on this the same size as a blackberry curve ?

and How can i easily put my music in the phone without buying rhapsody, and v-cast. ?

    thanks

  • Another question

When did this phone come out?

    I heard august 31, and october 6th.

    which one?

  • Same size buttons: I'm not positive. I don't have a blackberry curve. However, since they are roughly the same width, yet the Razzle curves it's edges and the Curve (oddly enough) does not, I think the Razzle's buttons are smaller.

Music or Ringtones? Music, download VCast Music with Rhapsody for free, and technically you can get music on your phone for free with that. It did take me about 5 tries though of doing the same thing before it actually worked.

    More in next comment:

  • It was officially released online on Oct. 6th. It wasn't supposed to be available in stores until November, if I'm correct. (Although I got a store to get one from online for me).

I THINK August 31 was when information was released about it at CTIA. There is a video of it being reviewed there as well.

  • hahahahaha dude this is the best review ever. ur sittin on ur couch with the dirty floor in the background. not that thats bad, my floors messy too. it provides a very proffesional backdrop to this informative videow review. hahaha

  • Thanks.... I think. :-P

It's actually a small lounge in my college dorm unit...... All the stuff on the floor is a unit-mates crap.

  • haha that probly sounded mean but seriously. its the best. im tryin to get that phone. any cons i should be warned about?

  • Thanks....

Um, it doesn't record video. Basically the one thing I don't like about it, but really haven't missed yet. Battery life of the first charge was only 1 day, but it's been going up since than. Currently I think it's been nearly three days since I charged it last and it has 3/4 battery left. Usage during that time is audible alarm every morning, no calls, and a few txts.

Other downsides.... it's Verizon? Good coverage but I've never really liked them as a carrier.

  • Oh, and it has a 2.5 mm headphone jack.... meaning you need to get an adapter before using a normal set of headphones with it.

  • and i see it has the big speaker side n all... so can u put music on it like an ipod? like could i just plug it into my itunes with a usb or something? or do i still need to rely on what verizon has?

  • You need to download 'V Cast Music with Rhapsody.' (Free download)

It includes a USB cable and 1GB micro SD card, allowing up to 16GB.

As far as syncing with iTunes, I created playlists in Rhapsody and dragged/dropped songs from the iTunes window to the Rhapsody playlists.... didn't take long at all.

If you want a music player, stick to an iPod. However on my 8 hour drive back to college my iPod to tape deck adapter wasn't working, so I listened to music from the Razzle most of the way.

  • alright well thanks for the info man

  • How tall are you? It doesn't look as big or bulky as I thought it would be.

  • How tall am I? I'm sitting.... if you look on Verizon's website it shows a comparison between the phone and a deck of cards, or a classic iPod.

Otherwise it's as wide as an ID, and maybe an inch longer.

Just thicker then a sharpie.... hope that helps.

I can post another video answering more questions if anyone has any.

  • I wondered because I thought maybe your hands might be freakishly large. Ahaha.

  • Well, I do have big hands which have made it a tad difficult to type.... occasionally I'll hit two keys instead of one....

I just checked and it's exactly the same size as my Moto Q. However, since it has curved sides and such the screen and keyboard are smaller then on the Q.

  • Is the usb cable also the charger?

  • Excellent question.

I don't think it can charge via a usb cable. The charger does use the same plug however.

I tried plugging the usb cable into a AC-USB charger and the phone tried syncing it's music with the wall outlet.... I'm guessing it uses different pins in the cord.

Possible hackable if you took a usb cord and connected it properly to part of a charge cord, but it would take some custom wiring.

  • i did too. i heard it has no video...i mean i dont really need video but then again it would be nice to have. i upgraded from a razr to this and i get my new phone in two days and i miss it already.

im not excited about it then again the fact its new and not many have it is nice for now.

  • Thank you for mentioning that! Yeah, it doesn't have video..... which I considered really stupid since I don't think it would have been that hard to integrate, yet there new-and-upcoming phone still doesn't have it.....

    Don't miss it yet though.

  • cool thnx for making this. there arnt much videos for this phone. i orderd mine and im getting it in two days . one question is there any other way to dial numbers cause i really dont like that

  • i just ordered mine today

  • Nope, just using the small number pad in the middle of the qwerty.

You can use speed-dials or voice commands though.

Yeah, I have fairly large hands so occasionally I'm pushing two buttons, but I think that will go away as I get used to using it.
