Everyone please remember that fujitsu the maker of this tablet is also the maker of the K computer the worlds fastest super Computer with ten quadrillion calculations per second , so this is no joke , please stop comparing it with the ipad , thats a toy comparing to this .
I would like to have seen multitasking stressed on the processor. Running a movie video, surfing the web, moving a large file to another folder... you get the picture? All while the task manager is on-screen. You mention nothing of camera image quality.
Have had a few requests and might do a bit of multi tasking if I record another video. Mostly this was done so others could compare an out of the box Q550 with one that was reinstalled from DVD. I still may tweak some to get it even more efficient; however, it has been working great for me so I hate to tinker.
Again the Q is not focused on Video playback or heavy multi tasking. I can only theorize that it will do ok, but probably not on par with dedicated devices or Core I processors. It's niche is content creation in an office environment, paperless processing and things of that nature and it does it well.
Not sure if I understand your question correctly. If you mean a hard drive, it has one built inside, SSD, and reads it quite well. :) You could take any SATA or IDE hard drive, place it in an external USB enclosure and attach to the Q's USB device and it will read it; however, the Q does not, nor should it have an internal slot for a hard drive.
I'd was wondering if you know what kind of video playback it can handle? I have many mkv files and wanted to know if it could handle high quality files (even better if it could handle high quality files with subtitles). Any info you have would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Physical orientation of the finger print Reader and the direction of the power button. While they are not difficult to use they feel as if the were oriented more for portrait use. I favor landscape.
Thanks for the series! I like everything about the pad except it seems so sluggish! What is your take on that? Having used android pads i guess all windows pads will seem sluggish...
I use it primarily for note taking, Email, light web surfing, E-reader and one note. The performance is not much of a hindrance for those apps. I a m very satisfied with the device for those applications. But have not owned or used an ipad/android few Comparison. I also needed long Battery life and it Delivered.

I am unsure. I have some 1080p video in MP4 format from my camera I may try and see how well they play on the Q and let you know.
