Having political differences is completely normal and democratic, the reasons other arab nations dont have that is because if they open their mouth and say a word they are taken to prison and tortured! Their countries political systems are completely abnormal and so is their people!
People in syria and Jordan have nothing to do but work for the government cause they lack entrepreneurship due to the lack of freedom that they have! You are right syria is productive but can do way much better and has better potential than what it is doing now but it cant move forward cause its owned by one mafia family running the country and taking everyones money! At least we have our reasons cause we have had wars what are the reasons of other Arab countries for living in the stone age?
for the person who is asking if this is an airfrance flight yes it is cz this is a boeing 777 wing and airfrance has thus plane wich comes to lebanon at this time :P
@scorpyonn Yeah ok, that's why 20 years after the end your civil war, so many rich Lebanese choose to live In Amman Jordan, i lived in Amman for a few years and i know that for a fact. Advanced than your neighbors in what??You have no industry, you produce nothing and you can't get along with your own population. Syria manufactures almost everything they need, Turkey can buy your entire country and not make a dent in it's budget and Dubai puts Beirut to shame. Wake up wake up.
You are right! Long live the Lebanese and their sophistication! I cannot believe that Amman or Damascus are compared to Beirut! These people must be blind!!!!
Amazing place to visit! I went there (Beirut) on my own in 2005 as a change from the usual holiday destinations, couldn't persuade my mates to go so off I went anyway and never regretted my decision. People are very friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back
my dream was to land one day in Beirut during the daylight.....finaly my wish will come true on Oct 18 2011! Finally i will see that beauty again just during the daylight !
if this was French Air then i was on that plane that day. Best moments is when the plane lands and your loved ones awaiting you at the airport. Lebanon you are my love and life.
@carabinieri210 Every one wishes they were Lebanese?? Really? All i know about Lebanese is that they produce absolutely nothing, have no industry whatsoever, can't get along with each other and that they equate modernity with speaking french and following the latest fashion. Your country ranks at the bottom of every measure of what makes a country great and that's per united nations statistics, so take your head out of your ass and face reality. I clicked on this video to watch a landing.
@fendimarcus Go fuck a cow! or ur mom would be better! YES we the LLebanese have had problems and despite our wars we were able to rebuild and and move on! we are the most productive and most educated and most open societies within the Arab countries! go look at the literacy rates and human development index of the rest of the Arab world and compare it to Lebanon! Yes we speak French, Arabic and English and Yes we have internationally well known designers sorry if this bothers you so much!
@fendimarcus I am Lebanese and I love my country and only speak highly of it... I would hate to admit however that everything you said is true... Lebanon, having said that, is able to achieve a great more, like we did in the past but silly people who spread hate towards each other are the ones stopping development from happening. There is so much hatred in my country...... please bear in mind, there is nothing wrong with introducing fashion into the world, we have designers like Ellie Saab etc
@fendimarcus ..... but these are actually an asset to my country! after we are, or were at least, the pearl of the middle east. To be honest with you, some arabs would actually envy us for having a true democracy, coz the truth is we do have it, we can all speak our minds and I'm proud of that, but to be honest fuck this when no-one can get along with one another.. seems like we cant make use of our democracy way of life. PS: i agree with equating modernity with speaking french, it fucks me up!
it made wanna book a flight there as soon. it is the most beautiful landing and feeling.

usually when a celebrity travels to an arab country , the first thing they ask him on the airport
even b4 he sees the country , how does he see it, and those celebrities answer with compliments to avoid embarrassment
but when they come to lebanon , they say it themselves while no one asks them , and lot of them sing for it , or return many times after :)
