Whites are targeted by blacks, blacks are targeted by whites. There is still a lot of crime and separation that exists in this country.

Piper had all that time to get excited, and then she was really let down. They went to a lot of trouble to make Mahree's stay a good one. It had to be a big letdown.

And for all those who say Mahrie was rude to the family in the beginning, well think of where she came from? That is a HUGE culture shock. But I won't lie the whole ice cream ordeal was hilarious but it was still extremely rude of Piper, but hey, even though people say the fanily wasn't exactly nice to Mahrie, they still tried to make her comfortable, so they wren't bad hosts.

To comment on all of the white people that feel offended, and technically the blacks too, Both Mahrie AND the black family are kind of racist. So it's not just gearing towards the racism of Mahrie, because piper learns the error of her ways also. And I don't think that the family was really RACIST, other wise little JT wouldn't be in their house. They just knew about the apartheid in South Africa and assumed Mahrie was racist, so they kind of gave her the cold shoulder.
