A wild animal (like a bear) with whatever background and whatever training still has it's basic instincts. If your hamster bites you, it may hurt a little.

A bear is only wild if it's actually spent time in the wild. This bear hasn't. It's just as domesticated as a dog or cat. And since it was never raised in the wild, it wouldn't survive in the wild. Not to mention the fact that bears actually prefer human food to eating humans...

Domestication is a process that takes generations of breeding and conditioning. I understand the point you're trying to get at, but that bear is not domesticated. There are hundreds of accidents of accidents every year involving wild "pets" that turn on their trainers, so I think the best way to avoid such tragic accidents would be to better respect the animals and limit their contact with humans.
