I agree. I originally agreed with the bailout but seeing how they have done nothing to change or seeing who quickly they went back to their old habits I am very critical of the bailouts now. Actually it is hard to imagine Bush speaking like this. First of all, it is a well delivered speech, whereas Bush couldn't speak correctly to save his life. Second, the plan and the speech is well planned out and seems to make sense/have a goal in mind, whereas Bush's "plans" were just to "democratize" the M.E and stay the course. There is a bill going through the senate that he supports, that will place tougher restrictions on the banks who took our $ to give themselves a nice bonus. I agree. I originally agreed with the bailout but seeing how they have done nothing to change or seeing who quickly they went back to their old habits I am very critical of the bailouts now. The bailouts were supposed to encourage job growth and to encourage banks to help homeowners, but they haven't. I really wonder how far you have gotten in any kind of upper education (ie college, high school). Usually people I have debated who are many times my age, have some form of higher education and can debate me intelligently, the fact you revert to this circular, childish "your brain is mush, your brain is mush" and the fact that you cannot cite any kind of intelligent, world renowned source to back up your "all Americans are dumb" criticism. Like I said, taken separately, they are okay but not enough, but these reforms (yes which include reforms to cap medicare/prescription drug fraud, protection for credit card holders, etc) altogether will help boost America. Actually it is hard to imagine Bush speaking like this. First of all, it is a well delivered speech, whereas Bush couldn't speak correctly to save his life. Second, the plan and the speech is well planned out and seems to make sense/have a goal in mind, whereas Bush's "plans" were just to "democratize" the M.E and stay the course. Obama's plan is very limited and focused, whereas Bush' plans were vague and open-ended. In addition, Obama has an exit strategy whereas Bush didn't.
