  • 60 000 000 for this program from your tax payers, Counter-insurgency - It is like CORDS, which gave birth to the Phoenix program Oh the fun I will have writing about this! ---- Oh did i hear the name Secretary Gates ??? Former administrator of the University of Texas & CIA Director - Ah yes.... became the Secretary of DOD under Bush in 2006...CIA incursion into Universities in the US - YOU WILL NOT CONTROL THE WORLD -from Canada - Imperialism will not be allowed to re-surge

  • "We are not in Afghanistan to control that country, or dictate its future...." really? Then why are you using Human terrain teams...recruiting students - Good old Project Minerva - millions of tax payer funding for this cause - a cause which you have said does not involve control of a country - The Human Terrain team is a Gov. tool for gathering cultural knowledge to disrupt beliefs, political systems, and economies, it is a means to assimilate, and gather allies from within a target culture.

  • Why don't you talk about Human Terain System - a tool for occupation, currently being applied in the Middle East. You currently have around 6 000 bases around the Globe. You have more than 20 000 000 troops deployed around the world. Your goal is not a 'WAR ON TERROR' but to perpetuate a state of occupation - CORDS --- Project HERO --- Counter-insurgency where more than 6000 Viet-Cong 'SUSPECTS' were brutally killed.

  • watch?v=V8vINCq_IAI

  • easy solution. Stephen Colbert for president.

  • DefundWar . org --- End the criminal oil wars. -- Photos of the horrible crimes commited by the US military against innocent children, women and men in Iraq: mindprod . com / politics / iraqwarpix . html -- UnitedForPeace . org -- CarFree . com -- BicycleCity . com -- FreePublicTransit . org

  • the thing that i dont understand is that england defended against the germans wen the germans invaded.they defended because they didint want to bow down to their laws.

so HOW IS IT DIFFRENT WEN IRAQ, AFGANISTAN GET INVADED BY AMERICA AND THEY JUST JUST SIMPLY WANT TO DEFEND IT.

JUST BECAUSE SUM1 STANDS UP TO DEFEND THEIR COUNTRY CANNOT POSSIBLY BE CALLED TERRORIST...

  • The US can't win the War on Terror with this AfPak policy. What it actually needs is FuckPak!

  • Is the New World Order just code for The New Jerusalem?

911 was an inside job - false flag terrorist attack by agents working within the American government and military - Stop the illegal wars of conquest.

Al Qaeda serve the NWO - Problem Reaction Solution - They create the problem, we demand some action the NWO bring in the solution - its all a con. Wake up!

  • Thats like the story of the Boy who cried wolf, everybody blamed iraq for trying to make them, know thiers no support for invading Iran which really wants ot build nucks because the american public doesnt want anouter war.i feel sorry for isreal there actually going to get nucked know by Iran.

  • OBAMA =

    New World Order

    World Governement ( BILDERBERG )

North American Union ( CFR )

  • bloodfeeding pig obama

  • I think the best stretegy to win in Afghanistan would be to celebrate "Draw Muhammad Day" in kabul and invite the village elders and distribute pics of Muhammad to the common ppl. This will make Talibans run away. : )

  • Obama sucks so bad, I can't wait to boot his ass out of office in 2012.

  • the way you are dealing in afghanistan is not only making the enemy stronger but makes you weaken and fail, time is not on your side buddy, you better hurry, sooner the better, you don't know afghans, if you help one of them you probablly make him a friend but if you hurt one of them all his tribe turns hostile. let afghans fight thier fight, they way the defeated Russian, we better learn from history!

  • This war is a fucking joke, what we need to do is throw all the 2face cunts who hate UK/US so much that their scrounge of the goverment. Anyone who attempts to disrupt the secruity of UK should be deported back with his full family (fuck human rights). These 2face shits leave saudi/Dubi aone yet these build a mIllion playground 4 the west whilst their own people starve. Lets get the fuck out of their & close the fucking borders.

  • The biggest mistake NATO made was to back up one party to destroy the other instead of being a neutral mediator and setting a "green line" between both parties just like it was done in a conflict in Cyprus. Do people blow themselves up in Cyprus today? No. Do people blow themselves up in Afghanistan today? What do you think?

  • He should be worried about America's economic issues

  • Obama got help from Ted Kennedy in getting elected! Read great bio Ted Kennedy: The Early Years at amazon for more on this!

  • @Bestmanme08 Also Obama knew somebody cured of homosexuality! Read Obama:Why Black America Should Have Doubts at amazon for more on this! And call 1-888-264-0877 for a genuine homosexual cure!

  • LIERS

  • Bush should of never invaded that shit country. He could of captured Osama without a huge invasion... Then after getting that bitch, we could of executed him like William Wallace, on national TV... What better way to say "Don't fuck wit us!"

  • This war has really made "safe haven" a rather cliche phrase. I mean more than it already was.

  • Most people who write a comment here are idiots, there are many differents between Bush and Obama... off course if you dont want to find them you wont...

And YES, he IS pulling troops out of Iran, OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES!

  • Torture, extreme rendition, suspesion of habeaus corpus, an unconstitutional war in violation of UN charter, illegal wiretapping, bailout for corporate executives while millions loose their jobs, billions spent on weapons and war while 20,000 Americans will die without health insurance this year... Truly the "land of the free and home of the brave." I have never been more ashamed of my country.

  • You know, most people voted for Obama on the premise that he would be a greater leader than Bush. The only thing that I see are mirror images. He wants to continue to send troops although he promised that he would bring them home. Fact of the matter is I wasted my first election on this liar that has done nothing remotely close to what he said that he would do. We as a nation are in debt funding this effing war when all he has to do is withdraw the troops and rebuild our nation. I hate him

  • What makes Obama different from Bush? That's the question.

Both support continuing the war.. Obama is extending the war.. Obama is surging troops in Afghanistan.. Obama won't pull out of Iraq.. Obama is raising deficit to $14 trillions (more than GDP)... Obama is giving new authorities to the private federal reserve

And probably NSA is datamining who is typing what where, and I wanted to say herein that I am NOT a slave of Rockefellers or Rothschild or IMO or IMF, the neo-masters of US

  • He does have a point. Whatever else, the Taliban does have to go.

  • Comment removed

  • really good quality

  • Good to see a WhiteHouse Channel on youtube!

  • Obama isn't even qualified to lead the Salvation Army!

  • Obama got help from Ted Kenendy to get elected! Read the great bio Ted Kennedy: The Early years at amazon to learn more! And Obama knew someone who was cured of homosexuality (read the book Obama: Why Black America Should Have Doubts at amazon for more!)!

  • Call 1-888-264-0877 fora genuine homosexual cure!

  • He is lieing, if any one is causing instability in the region are Americans. Americans have completely different Agenda which is TAPI, Drug trade and incirclement of China and Iran, who are building an IPC Gaspipeline, Americans have been useless in aiding Pakistan, infact they are causing more problems then solving, the drug trade is sky rocketing and truck loads of weapons are caught on borders of Afghanistan from USA. US does NOT fight terrorism in Pak, there no such thing as Osama!!

  • Your profile clearly states that you are an enemy to America, so your words are a bit untrustworthy. I actually believed you for a minute.

  • obama is amazing.... all u people need to realize that god is dumb and so r ur stupid white conservative asses 666 HAIL SATAN

  • "We are experiencing audio sync issues on YouTube"

Well, guess the guys at the White House are right O_o

  • This is all a lie.. They just wanna take over afghanistan and pakistan to feel secure from nuclears and take over the world. Go worship satan and leave us alone man... What the hell??

  • @Vamp1881 you expected different this guy scares me. People need to learn how to love God. Things would be different.

  • leave the world alone man. crazy neurotic americans. go hunt witches, leave us in peace.

  • Obama never wants to enforce immigration laws so illegal immigrants can keep receiving welfare & healthcare benefits as in the case of Obama's aunt Zeituni Onyango, an illegal immigrant from Kenya yet lived in taxpayer-funded public housing complex in Boston for many years and also contributed $260 to Obama's presidential bid. In fact, Obama, with his immigration reform, wants to naturalize twelve million illegal immigrants so they can get healthcare insurance & vote for his Democratic Party.

  • Maybe instead of blaming the illegals for all our problems, let's try blaming the white, rich sons-of -bitches that bring them over and give them our social security numbers just so they can avoid paying taxes or minimum wage. Want to fix the problem TOMP66666? Go after the REAL problem/source of our problems: the assholes who purposely try to undermine our system (the rich white corporate thugs). I find it hard to blame someone who lives in a poor country for trying to come to a better one, I

  • find it not so hard to blame those who knowingly and willingly subvert our tax system by bringing in illegal citizens just so they can avoid paying taxes or minimum wage/benefits to American workers. And these are the kinds of people who are the fiscal conservatives who buy off the GOP.

  • Why you guys says negative shit about our President. Get out of USA if you hate.

  • I wouldn't go that far, but I agree that anyone who expects Obama to fix our nation in 11 months (when it took Bush 8 years to fuck us over) is unreasonable and stupid. I agree he is not going fast enough and doing enough but I say give the man a break (however I am not happy how he and the Dems have boggled HC reform).

  • @DantheDem Bush didn't even 'fuck' us over as bad as Obama has with are economy, you twat.

  • My god, you are so blind. Bush was the one that let the big banks, and big businesses run this country into the ground, got us into and unneccessary war (Iraq), gave tax breaks to those who didn't need them (further destabilizing our economy), the list goes on and on.

Obama...he...uh...didn't pass strong enough HC reform. He passed the stimulus bill that hasn't even fully been used yet and that his predecessor already created. So all the problems that you attribute to Obama can be put on W.

  • Stop watching Faux News and try THINKING for once Tbag. I am not 100% happy with Obama but am happier with him than I was with that dumbass Dubya.

  • President? You call that a president - he wouldn't make a pimple on the backside of a decent President!

  • George Bush could have given this speech !!!!

  • Obama got the Peace Prize for this ??? 30,000 troops from Chickenhawk Barack ???

  • I don't think he had much sleep before giving this speech--anyone with me? He looks quite tired here.

  • Your worried about his sleep? The only ones getting tired are us - tired of these lies!

  • Schools roads n hospitals hahahahahaha yeah we'll see

They have eaten the billions u have given in theese 8 years.

Zardari is fucking put in power by US hé was never elected. like musharaf.

    Fucking joke

  • US White House admin. Is a fucking joke

Ppl of United State r brainless fucktards

Bush administration Got Banazir killed coz she knew what has going on.

this speech was a fucking lies lies lies n lies

  • Oh brother Tobias. Have you ever met Americans? My guess is no. The only brainless fucktards are those who judge but know nothing and just make blanket statements like you and Peaceme11. America is not perfect but neither is any other country.

  • Riddle me this:

If the Taliban gets so much funding from Afghanistan's heroin why don't we burn the poppy fields and plant corn or something?

maybe I'm missing something obvious but if not then the gov't has been

  • we should burn them but there are rumors that the gov't and the CIA has an interest in those poppy fields (which I don't find hard to believe).

  • the FED was weakened or "captured" by big bank insiders. I agree that we need to get rid of Bernanke and put in Volcker, who seems to be the only one who wants to stop the banks. Unfortunately NO ONE will nationalize the banks, like they should be. But until then all we can do is strengthen the FED and get them to do their job and put pressure on the banks to do the right thing.

  • I suspect that poopstreek, K3304, and peacme11 are living in their own delusional world. Any one who expects Obama to undo in 11 months what Bush has done in 8 years is ridiculous and laughable. I keep repeating this yet these three keep expecting some miracles from Obama and from the system at large. I admit I am not very happy with him on some of his policy choices, but I am willing to give him the same chance (8 years) to give him a FAIR chance to undo Bush and the GOP's fuck ups.

  • Dan, how can you fix the economy hiring tax cheats and other cronies from the most corrupt city in the world===Chicago ? Obama would have hired Tom Dashcle only because he was TOO corrupt oweing $140,000 in back taxes

  • I can't say I agree with who he has hired to manage the economy. But Obama himself is not writing the bill, congress is (this is probably not anymore comforting to you). But we keep going around in circles b/c you keep viewing things in a short sighted way. You keep trying to look at Obama and judge him in an 11 month span which, to my knowledge, NO president has done good in only 11 months. It took FDR years to fix our economy after the Great Depression (actually 4 years afterwards he was .

  • making the same mistakes Obama is, but during his second then 3rd terms he got wise and started being tougher on the banks and those who ruined our economy). My hope is that after a while Obama will wise up and start doing the right things. His pragmatism and his stubborn attempts at bi-partisanship will be, or probably is, his undoing. When he gets it through his head that he cannot keep trying to extend his hand to the GOP, then he will be a great president. I don't know anyone who is proud of

  • Dan, so i guess youre against the "checks & balances" thing. Most Americans are against his handling of the healthcare debacle. We want to celebrate Christmas while Obama keeps talking healthcare & war. His poll ratings have sunk like a rock. He's done, stick a fork in him

  • No I am all for checks and balances. But I have more common sense than to declare him "Done" in 11 months. I am pissed off at his mishandling of healthcare, ABSOLUTELY! He really fucked up that one. But I am not going to declare him done just b/c he fucked up in the first 11 months. I mean you can declare him done, that's your choice, but if it turns out that he becomes a better president and starts changing his positions and doing a better job I am going to get the final laugh at all of you.

  • I find it funny that you keep trying to put words in my mouth. Just b/c I am saying give the guy a chance doesn't mean I am a communist or against checks and balances. Stop acting like the immature Tea Baggers, life is NOT black and white (pardon the pun) and things cannot always be seen as such. Open your mind (which may be too late). I am not saying you have to love him, but to declare the guy a failure is extremely premature. The only ones doing so are conservatives who have no right to

  • complain since they are the ones who got us into this mess.

  • what he is doing now, but us liberals are willing to give the guy a chance and not judge him ONLY on his first 11 months. It took Clinton 6-8 years to get it right. So to assume that Obama can get it right in 11 months is stupid and lacks ANY common sense. Wait 6-8 years then judge the guy. I will always be the first to criticize him when he screws up but I am also the first one to defend him against those who are ready to label him a failure after ONLY 11 MONTHS!

  • OBAMA SUPPORTERS... Imagine that McCain, or even Bush gave this speech, then think about how you would react. Quit paying attention to the Ds and Rs next to people's names and you will realize that they are more alike than different...

  • They actually aren't. McCain would never give this speech, he would rally for an all-out, ambiguous war with no deadlines, no limits on the war fronts, no withdrawal from Iraq (which he is doing), and no intent on leaving Afghanistan. Obama's plan (for those who can't read or understand basic English) is only to rebuild the Afghanistan military so they can fight their own battles. As for Iraq he has been pulling soldiers out of Iraq, slowly but he has been.

  • Everything Bush did wrong, Obama is also doing. Spending and wars. I feel sorry for you if you actually believe that Obama's spending is helping this country get out of debt. And as far as foreign policy goes, Obama has kept Bush's Sec. of Def. and all of his generals. That is not "change." The only change we got, was a change in face, and a slight change in rhetoric.

  • Actually he isn't. I agree (for the 100th time) that he isn't doing enough, but to say he is Bush, is factually wrong. He is doing more than Bush to reign in the banks, he is dialing down in Iraq (he never said he would in Afghanistan, so why people are just now getting mad at him for this eludes me). He pushed a bill protecting LGBT's under the Hate Crimes Bill and has passed the Lily Ledbetter Act giving women equal pay. He is going to close down Gitmo and has stopped our policy of torture.

  • What is he doing to "reign in" the banks? He has given them billions of our dollars when he should have been throwing people in jail. He wants to give Bernanke (who was nominated by Bush...) and the Fed MORE power when they are the ones who caused this mess. Tim Geithner came from Goldman Sachs, just like W's Hank Paulson. When you do your research, it seems like W and Obama work for the same people. Also, why are we in Afghanistan? We can't afford to be there, I know that for sure.

  • There is a bill going through the senate that he supports, that will place tougher restrictions on the banks who took our $ to give themselves a nice bonus. I don't care much for his economic staffers, but I am pleased by the bill going through and Obama's commitment to it. We are in Afghanistan b/c they helped fund, train and hide those who attacked us on 9/11. Now we are in there to train the Afghani military to let them deal with their own problems on their own.

  • I agree that we should spend more $ on HC for our own people before we continue Afghanistan but I am still not convinced that pulling out will be beneficial to our national security. When you do the research it actually seems like he is doing better than Bush. Now I admit he seems to be run by the big bankers more than us but he seems to be railing against them, for now. He wants to strengthen the FED to impose more control over the banks. The FED's job is to regulate the banks and under Bush

  • At least you are willing to admit that Obama is owned by the banks. You really really need to do some research on the FED. It IS a private group of large banks. It is NOT part of the government, and it is unconstitutional. They have taken hundreds of billions of our dollars and won't tell us where it is. I think that we can spend money on HC when our debt is at 0. Our debt is our biggest problem, and Obama is going to RAISE the deficit ceiling to 1.8 trillion!... That is no solution.

  • One thing I do disagree with you on is HC reform. That is an issue of life or death that we have put off way too long. When one looks at Obama's contributors, one cannot deny Obama has a stake with the banks.

  • With how much he has given the banks, he could have given tens of thousands of dollars to EACH AMERICAN CITIZEN. I agree with you about HC, that it is a matter of life or death, because if it passes now, it will be the death of our country. Do you really think China is going to loan us the money to pay for it? Do you think that borrowing MORE money from China is a good idea? Did you do your research on the Fed yet?

  • I agree. I originally agreed with the bailout but seeing how they have done nothing to change or seeing who quickly they went back to their old habits I am very critical of the bailouts now. The bailouts were supposed to encourage job growth and to encourage banks to help homeowners, but they haven't. My hope is that the senate bill will make them more accountable but I am skeptical of that (with Baucus/the Blue Dogs, and the GOP to weaken the bill). I don't think HC reform will be the death

  • of us. What will be the death of us is if we let the HIC's continue to screw us over and let our fellow citizens die b/c it is more profitable to do so. I think we need to kick the sons of bitches out and shut them down altogether but I know it will never happen b/c of the special interests involved. Personally I am opposed to borrowing more from China since their gov't abuses Tibetans and is a dictatorial gov't. I do think China will allow us to borrow more since they get to ship their crappy

  • products to us for cheap (which is why they also keep their $ low compared to our dollar). It is complicated but it seems to be profitable to them (or else why would they do it). Not saying this is right, but it is what it is.

  • It needs to change. We need to become producers, not just consumers. We can't afford to spend as much as Obama wants to spend. He should be cutting taxes on people who employ people, and people who produce and export things. His debt is hurting our country, his borrowing is hurting this country. Everything else is trivial.

  • Not really and this is where we are going to have to agree to disagree. I feel his borrowing and spending is doing no more to hurt us than Bush is. At least most of his spending is focused on the USA (ie HC). Actually he has been cutting money and programs that are no longer useful to us (to list them all would take up too much space). He has done lots of good stuff as well as bad stuff. Most of the left, like me, complains that he hasn't done enough quickly enough, despite this we will not let

  • a Sarah Palin run this nation into the ground. I have no problem with taxes or spending as long as it goes to help education and boost jobs. I don't believe, and have seen no evidence to prove, the idea that tax cuts (which have helped cause our economic problems) will help the economy or get the rich to spend more.

  • I do agree it does need to change but I can't see ANY party or politician doing anything about these problems, even Ralph Nader. Even if they did try (and there are some who are Bernie Sanders-I; and Dennis Kucinich-D) they would still be outnumbered by interests. The special interests, no matter how hard we've tried (I have taken a gov't class this semester about lobbyists/special interests) we have never been able to stop them from finding loopholes and getting their front seat in the system.

  • I do want to thank you for at least being an intelligent debater and just resorting to attack/name calling like many on here have done. I may not always agree with your ideas but I agree with your diagnosis. I don't know anyone who is happy with Obama 100% or who feels that this system is the most responsive to the people, Dems, Independents, and many others would agree that it needs to change (but the GOP seems to think it is the best and that nothing can beat it).

  • Not HIS debt, Bush's. I agree we need to invest more in our country but not in those who got us in this mess (the rich fat cats who continue to fuck us into nothing). The tax cuts belong with small businesses, middle and poor class Americans, not the rich.

  • It is his mess now. He ran saying he could fix things but he is making it MUCH WORSE. Also, there is a great video of Democrats defending Fannie and Freddy on here just search, "Democrats Fannie and Freddy" and it is the first video that comes up. That is why we are here. I agree that the super rich run this country, (George Soros) but they own the Dems just as much as they ever owned the Repubs. Also, I am not at all rich, but class envy will not get you anywhere.

  • Yes it is his mess now. While I agree he is not doing enough, I don't think he is making it worse. Facts actually support me on this one. The economy has been coming back and started to stabilize. Now if he had been more brazen in his legislation (ie investing in newer jobs like FDR) maybe we would be in a better position, but, AGAIN, since he has been in office only 11 months, I find it hard to lay blame on him so quickly. You are welcome to do so, but the egg will be on your face when the

  • economy starts getting better.

As for the Fannie/Freddy and the Democrats, no duh. Of course Dems have support from the rich and the big bankers. At the time, Freddie and Fannie were seemingly stable and were doing well, so no one could have predicted what would happen. Let's not forget, that Fannie and Freddie were not the only ones who contributed to this. The first ones who helped to destabilize this nation was Enron, Bush's buddies. Who's profiting off these wars? Halliburton, Cheney's

  • company. I do agree he is not doing enough for this country but I am not ready to say he is a failure after only 11 months. Those who are ready to do so, make me laugh b/c clearly they have the attention span of moths and are very narrow-minded/sighted. We'll see after 8 years how he's done.

  • He is a failure. He has not done any of the things I wanted him to do. He is expanding our wars, he is the biggest spender that the world has ever seen, he wants to give the Fed more power, he won't repeal the Patriot Act as promised, he won't revise NAFTA as promised... The fact that you think he is going to be re-elected is pretty funny considering his poll number have taken the biggest dive in history, in the shortest amount of time.

  • I agree he has done little, if anything that I wanted him to do. But again to judge him in 11 months to fix what took Dubya 8 years to fuck up is laughable at best. I don't know ANYONE who could fix or being to fix in 11 months what the last dumbfuck of a president did. His polls are down but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he starts doing a better job once he starts to figure out that his advisors are giving him bad information. If people can give Bush 8 years then they can

  • give Obama 8 years. But if they, or you, expect him to do everything right in the first 11 months and judge him on that and elect the same dumbfuck GOP or put their/your faith behind a dumb jackass like Nader, then the joke is on you and this country.

I don't know anyone who is 100% happy with Obama, many liberals like me are pissed off, but on the other hand we realize what he was left with. We also see his few small accomplishments as accomplishments versus being stuck with Palin and Grandpa

  • McCain and how lucky we are not to have been stuck with them. Now after 8 years if nothing at all changes (which some already have started to change), then he can be labeled a failure but until then, anything before 11 months is premature. Liberals like me are more afraid of what the neo-cons will do than we are of what the Democrats won't do. My issue is not what Obama is spending it is how he is spending it (on the banks and car companies and not on the people). Keep in mind, FDR spent lots

  • of $ yet it was that spending that helped our nation. Now you can check out and bail on Obama, that's fine, several times I have been tempted to as well, but seeing who the GOP is offering, I may have little choice but to accept a mediocre candidate like Obama versus some moronic psychopaths like Palin/Beck or Thompson/Dobbs. Now if there is a better candidate in the primary I will vote for that candidate, but if I am stuck with choosing Obama or Palin, I will have no issue voting Obama.

  • If you chose between the lesser of two evils, all you end up with is evil. That is why I did not vote for Obama, or McCain. They both suck, they both promised to continue our endless, un-winnable occupations. They are big spenders, and you are what our broken system needs to keep going--you vote based on hatred for the other side, not because you agree with who your side put out there. See how easily they have pitted the majority of Americans against each other while they get away with murder?

  • I don't vote based on hatred. I vote based on who agrees with me more. I don't trust the GOP or the Dems but I know that if I don't vote I will end up with the worst side. I always say that I am a REAL Democrat/liberal. Actually peoplelike you are doing more to keep the old system going by bowing out. Non-participation (which includes voting for Mickey Mouse or yourself) helps keep the old guys in. Another problem is that the other minority parties are minorities for a reason; their opinions

  • are usually too extreme for the people (Libertarians are too far right and the Greens are too far left). Personally I just vote for who I agree with more and that happens to be the Democrats. I don't care much for the Green Party since I don't agree with them or their unstable leaders (Nader, McKinney). The idea that the Libertarians or the Greens would be any different is false. Politicians are politicians no matter who you elect. The special interests would just buy them off as well. I am not

  • saying this is a good thing, but this is how politics is run. Now there are good people on both sides who run b/c they feel they have the answers but those people are, unfortunately, usually unelectable at the Presidential level or even at the Senate level. I don't disagree both sides suck, but that is what it is. I would love to change the system, but the only changes we have ever been able to make, or will ever make, are incremental changes that the elites allow to happen. Hopefully this will

  • change but I am skeptical it will. As for me I am more content to vote for Obama as the lesser evil (which I acknowledge he is) b/c I agree with some of the things he is doing. Why would I bow out of politics if I agree somewhat with one guy over another guy? Why would I sit back and let the worse guy win? Why should I sit home and whine and moan about not having a perfect system rather than getting out and fighting to make our system more accountable to me/the people? That seems like self-

  • fulfilling prophecy (allowing the system to bypass us, ignore us). Our system is far from perfect and I would rather be involved in changing it (if even in some minor, slight way) rather than sitting home and whining that I didn't get my way. As I say; if you don't vote then don't have any right to whine.

  • I did vote. Just because I said I did not vote for O or Mc does not mean I did not vote.

  • Well then that's all that matters. As long as you can live with your choice/vote your conscience.

  • The banks own the dems and repubs. To say that one is that much better than the other is like saying that dog shit is better than cat shit.... You are still dealing with shit. The sooner you pull the partisan wool from over your eyes, the sooner you will see the real problems this country faces. Do you ever wonder why we ALWAYS have big gov. repubs, and pro war dems? Does that not seem a little rigged to you? Dems and repubs are un-paid corporate cheerleaders, and they don't even know it.

  • Oh I know that poopstreak. My family and I are resigned to the fact that both national parties suck badly, but that we are more afraid of what the Republicans will do than what the Democrats won't. Of course it is rigged, but that is politics. As I always say "I am a real Democrat." I do believe in most, if not all, liberal policies, even if the national party does not. It is disturbing but I fear the GOP more than the Republicans. In addition sometimes, just to appease us, the Dems throw

  • something to us. I prefer that to the GOP carrying out it's agenda. If only the Dems would do for their base that the GOP does for its base, I think the Dems would be a better party (my opinion, probably not yours).

  • that doesn't sound the least bit similar to me. There are still things he needs to do (ie push the Employee Free Choice Act and push harder for HC reform). Environmentally he has done more than Bush, but not enough (he has reversed some Bush policies but not all). Just b/c there are some of the same faces does not mean he is 100% the same. You need to do some actual research and not just judge on face value. These changes are not enough, I give you that, but they are a start.

  • Appeasing our enmeies, snubbing our friends, quadupling the deficet, sending 30,000 more troops to Afgan, appeasing Iran and appeasing Amidinejad, bailing our banks & car companies, etc. it will take a LIFETIME to fix what Obama is fucking up in only one year

  • lol!! what did bush do?! ahahahaha.... omg too funny, as if it makes a lick of difference who's in office...

  • Bridge, here's a newsflash===Bush hasnt been in office in over a year !! It's time Obama has to answer for his lack of leadership !!

  • what lack of leadership?

  • Bridge, according the the non-partisian Gallup poll, Obama at 47% approval rating scores the lowest after 11 months in office. That's the lowest EVER !! That lack of leadership !!

  • lol and you trust this gallup pole? Do you watch cable news? lol Sorry there is no lack of leadership... Obama is kicking ass...

  • I do not agree 100% but I think we need to give the guy more than 10 months to truly rate him and the job he is doing. I think he is playing the field and will surprise his skeptics. But it is okay if they want to act infantile towards us, it is their immaturity and inability to debate that will make them lose out in the end.

  • this is DantheDem's own filibuster forum

  • Obama likes to bow to the Saudi king and the Japanese prime minister but did you ever see another dignitary bow to him ?? Answer====NO !!

  • It is showing respect for foreign leaders, K3304, something that Bush even did (but I guess it is okay for Bush to do it since he was doing it to the people who own us). There is nothing wrong with showing respect for a foreign leader. I don't know why conservatives are just now getting so pissy about it, US leaders have done this for years and it has helped our foreign relations in many instances. Now doing so does not automatically signal defeat or buddy buddy relationships, but are more

  • productive than thumbing our noses at everyone just b/c we disagree with them.

  • I'd like to take a moment here and thank Obama for moving ahead with major issues. So far so good. Thanks Obama.

  • Thank you ArcolaBridge for your common sense in giving Obama's plan a chance. Give the man a chance.

  • Arcola, Iran just announced a radical expansion of its uranium enrichment facilities. So far Iran keeps thumbing their noses at The Appeaser, your president. He's a serial deadline maker. Get ready for World War 3 !

  • Who in Afghanistan wants the United States there? Only the corrupt Karzai government and the other sellouts to western bribery. Same for Pakistan. Only the minority elite who get rich off the conflict want the United States there. Yet Obama has the arrogance to say that he is there to "help the Afghan people." To actually help them, leave them alone, don't bring more warfare to the land.

  • "bring more warfare to the land" ..huh.. So I guess we should pack up and leave eh? No chance huh? Not worth it? Can't do it? Why are we doing it? Hit back and watch the speech again. It's ok, I'm willing to buy a bout of add/adhd, but just this once.

  • War is a Racket.

  • So? Killing people and terrorising them isnt a racket?

  • I think killing people and terrorizing them might fit into the category of "warfare." "War is a Racket" is the name of a book written by a two-time Medal of Honor winner.

  • he has done many more things, if I were to write them all down I would take up even more posting space. I agree he has not done enough but that is only b/c he has been in office for 10 months. Give the guy some time/slack.

  • There is no time for BS. you want more of this BS? What stuff are you smoking to keep your brain on mush.

  • My brain is not mush, that is your brain my friend. Instead of judging nations, their people, and their leaders blindly, why don't you try to educate yourself (I say this b/c you obviously are not that educated to be making the arguments/stereotypes you are perpetuating). I am constantly tempted to debate you using the same ignorant stereotypes of Irish against you that you use against me and my fellow Americans, but then I would be as ignorant as much a "mush-brain" as you are.

  • im not just irish, I'm also a human being. Human beigns exist outside America? Do you even halve a passport. Your faviourite man, is a con man. How because he uses body language skillls, NLP, persuassive speech and has an ear piece to help him out all the time. Now if your mushed brained you wont be able to process this as this is been played out.

  • Exactly Peaceme11, I am also not just a Korean American, I am also Human. No shit human beings exist outside of America, they exist outside of Ireland too. Obama is NOT my favorite man, your attempts to dismiss me by repeating this idea of me being his mindless minion is laughable since I have repeated continuously that I don't agree with him on everything, most things I disagree with him on, or I disagree with his handling of. The fact that you keep trying to pigeonhole me to Obama only that

  • you are either stupid or that doing so makes it easier to dismiss my own criticisms of you. Like I have said, NO ONE (INCLUDING ME) IS HAPPY WITH OBAMA NOW. We are just not short-sighted enough to blame him for all the world's problems, unlike you and the GOP back here in the USA. I actually won't even go into defending myself or my opinions/life experiences to such a short sighted hypocrite like yourself. I will say it again, America is NOT perfect but I would rather live there than in your

  • country that allows murderers to run it (former/current IRA members running Ireland, yet you have the gall to criticize the USA? hypocrite). I have no problems with any other nation/people yet when they point fingers at how America is corrupt I just sit back and laugh my ass off. Humans live in America too. Many Americans make mistakes but many are good, honest, hard working, intelligent people who disagree with each other. Now you would know that if you even bothered to LEARN about America and

  • not judge Americans based on their leaders or your narrow minded judgment of their leaders. I think you need to change your name to HatesAmericans and not Peaceme11. Peaceme11 would suggest you are a peaceful, kind, compassionate human being, when you are nothing but an arrogant, judgmental, angry, hateful ignorant piece of shit who makes unwarranted and uninformed judgments of people, nations, and leaders just b/c he can. I feel sorry for you and the small, hateful world you live in.

  • I think the fact that you keep trying to avoid my criticisms of you and continue this circular "you are Obama's puppet" bullshit means that you really have nothing to base your accusations on. You just use blanket accusations and expect everyone to believe you/agree with you. Instead of facing up to your own short-comings. I do admit, at 2, I have a lot to learn, yet arguing with many men like yourself only makes me wonder if after 30ish, there is nothing left to learn, since many like you seem

  • I meant, at age 21, I have a lot to learn...

  • to not know anymore than me. Now many people I know who are older than you are very intelligent, but those are the kind who are compassionate and understanding, not judgmental and hypocritical. And there are many people, who are around my age, who are more compassionate and intelligent than you. Your short sightedness and judgmental nature only demeans and embarrasses the man you can be. You could do so much good in the world, yet you spend your time being a nasty, judgmental hypocrite. So sad.

  • I really wonder how far you have gotten in any kind of upper education (ie college, high school). Usually people I have debated who are many times my age, have some form of higher education and can debate me intelligently, the fact you revert to this circular, childish "your brain is mush, your brain is mush" and the fact that you cannot cite any kind of intelligent, world renowned source to back up your "all Americans are dumb" criticism. I gave up a long time ago trying to actually debate you.

  • Trying to debate you intellectually would be a waste of my time. Why would I waste my time with a man who has the maturity of a 6 year old? All I can do is point out your hypocrisies and hope you will grow up and mature. I have given up on trying to engage in intelligent debates on youtube overall since many on here are racists or ignorant Anti-Americans. Now every once in a while I meet someone on here with whom I can debate intellectually and it proves to be worth the time. But often I am

  • disappointed by the responses (either uninformed or outright racist at times) by those who may differ, even slightly, with me. I think if we were to meet face to face and talk out issues, we would find that we probably agree more than disagree but since you choose not to bother and to criticize/judge me based on ONE issue, then I really don't think there is much to say that I already haven't. Only a few times have I met such a nasty old man. Many older men and women I meet are extremely nice

  • and respectful, and I can enlightening debates with them, but I see you still require some maturity of intellect before this can happen between us. Having debated many and talked over issues with many (including those who don't live in America-some of my best discussions are w/those who live outside of the USA, whom I do agree with on many issues) it shocks me when I talk to middle aged/older men (it's always the men who act out, not the women) who are nasty and unwilling to intellectually

  • discuss things/issues. Oh well...as Clapton would say "gotta keep on growing;" when you do THEN we can debate. Until then all I can do is sit back and watch you continue your circular, baseless hasty generalizations and mock/criticize you. Oh well...

  • Dan, i miss your Stalinist replys on this thread. I appreciate your filibusters whereas nobody can disagree with you.

  • return home to visit loved ones, and many more reforms. Like I said, taken separately, they are okay but not enough, but these reforms (yes which include reforms to cap medicare/prescription drug fraud, protection for credit card holders, etc) altogether will help boost America. Economically, I agree with this president, socially I wish he would do more but he still has 3-7 more years to go, so to judge him now is premature. Unfortunately, the media focuses on his mistakes and not his successes

  • He has no success on ANYTHING, because you dont know what is your enemy. The ones you are putting your trust into. The enemy is not over there, or behind there, or in there, or in iraq, or in afghanistan.

    Your enemy is washington.

  • You crack me up Peaceme11. Stop pretending you know more about my country than I do, b/c you DON'T!

  • No successes on anything!? HA! Only proves that you know nothing, only listening to your own anti-American biased bullshit news. BTW where do you get your info? News in Ireland (that I am sure is not biased at all, lol). Do you read the far right wing blogs (I only ask this b/c despite your name, I am hearing right wings' talking points out of your mouth)? Or are you just making stuff up as you go? My guess is the latter.

  • peace, Dan the Dem has pretty much shored this thread up. That's what communists do. They squash free speech (thought agree with it) then imprison any opposing views like Havanna or Caracus. They are snakes and they will murder thousands who dont go by theyre godless society like Stalin or Marx

  • I was having a power outage. You are reverting back to name calling-petty and futile/childish but not unexpected from someone who cannot debate worth a damn.

  • Hahahaha, speak for yourself K3304. you are the one trying to shout me and Arcola down. I am fine with free speech as long as there is a logical reason behind it. So far all I hear from you and Peaceme11, is the usual talking points that lack any evidence or back up. Even ignorant people like you are free to say what you want, but don't expect the rest of us who take the time to THINK about their own opinions, to let you off the hook. Educating or questioning opposing view points is not being a

  • a communist, it is being an American and having a DEBATE (something that clearly threatens you hence you feel you have to put us down when we question you). That is being close-minded and ignorant. I don't mind being debated and tested on my beliefs but I expect you and Peaceme11 to be able to back your own beliefs as well. When you are unable to, it only proves your own ignorance and hypocrisy.

  • I have no intention of killing you, but I will laugh at you and mock you for your uneducated beliefs (not b/c they are different than my own, but b/c you don't have any viable evidence to back them up). When you do, let me know and I would be glad to debate you, but until then I will just mock and laugh at your incompetence and inability to debate (or even try to). Like I said to Peaceme11, for me to try to debate you, rather than mock you, would be a waste of my time. Arcola and I can just

  • sit back and laugh at you and Peaceme11's inability to try to act like adults, and rather like whiny little babies that not everyone agrees with you. Get over it man! It's gonna happen! That is what makes us American, that we don't all have to agree (with me or you). I don't care if you agree with me as long as you can defend your beliefs and since you and Peaceme11 can't without belittling or reverting to name calling, to try to even talk with or debate you is pointless.

  • Dan, arent you the democrat party trying to impliment the "fairness doctrine" on talk radio because it's sort of slanted towards the right (because it makes money) while not even mentioning any fairness doctrine towards to newspaper industry, which slants left ? I believe in free speech , how about you ?

  • Actually it is the right who wants to implement the FD to slant EVERYTHING RIGHT! I don't believe in the FD since no matter who does it/pushes it, it will slant the media even more. I DO believe in free speech which is why I disagree w/the FD no matter what. If I don't like something, I change it and I expect the same from the conservatives (who usually like to push their ideas of what's okay for us to hear/watch/read). The conservatives are usually big babies and push this to slant things even

  • more to suit their own slick salesmen bullshit agenda. I say let people do/say what they want (within reasonable limits-like not calling for a gov't officials death, or threatening someone you disagree with, like the Tea Party likes to do).

  • Dan, during Bush's presidency you leftists produced a movie called "Death of a President" about the fictional assassination of GW Bush. You can type it in right here on You Tube. I don't agree with ANY attempts at that on ANY president.

  • Not we "leftists", but A leftist. I didn't agree with it either. In addition to that, the movie was a joke and not serious. But if any harm had come to Bush b/c of that, the guy who did it should've been put in jail.

  • Dan, if you look at the wording of this video, you could swear that it was George Bush giving this speech. Just close your eyes an imagine it was GW. It's not hard to do.

  • Actually it is hard to imagine Bush speaking like this. First of all, it is a well delivered speech, whereas Bush couldn't speak correctly to save his life. Second, the plan and the speech is well planned out and seems to make sense/have a goal in mind, whereas Bush's "plans" were just to "democratize" the M.E and stay the course. Obama's plan is very limited and focused, whereas Bush' plans were vague and open-ended. In addition, Obama has an exit strategy whereas Bush didn't.

  • Dan, The "well delivered" part comes from the teleprompters in front of him. Otherwise, Obama does the ah-ah-ah thing which bothers me. Ever hear that ? It's every other word. Obama's plan is focused because it tells the muslim terrorists when we leave. So, go hide in them caves fellas !!

  • Dan, youre probably wearing rose colored glasses while Obama plummets in the polls. His approval rating, according to Gallup, is at an all time low for an 11 month president. He's becoming a miserable failure.

  • no I know he's plummeting. That doesn
