This incident has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with religion. There are plenty of Hindu, Sikh, and--yes--Christian families in Pakistan who pressure their kids into arranged marriages. And there are also plenty of Muslim families who do not care about who their kids marry. Culture transcends religion, and no one group of people, regardless of their culture or religion, is going to have identical beliefs about marriage or, for that matter, any other issue.
