i have problem though. my lips are fuller and...ugh...dare i say it, poutier than the model's (no offence model-san) and it makes my life infinitely harder. also, i have young, "cutie cheeks" as my grandma likes to call them. is there a way i can fix this? i'm cosplay Ling Yao from FMA, and he doesn't even have any facial hair so the addition of man-stubble is lost to me this time around.

@shichan what you can do for your lips is use liquid concealer or foundation on a lip brush to "cover" and thin out your lips. you can even re-shape them this way! make sure to go over the liquid foundation with powder to set it and blend well, though, so it looks as natural as possible.

for the cheeks, you can try contouring under the cheekbone area (where you'd normally wear blush) to give the face a more "rectangular" look. however, be subtle or it'll look very fake. good luck!!

@shichan *correction: You contour Below your cheek bone, not where you'd apply blush, you'd put it underneath the place where you'd normally put blush.

@TheProxyan these tips have nothing to do with being asian or not. XP they'll work on anybody, though in varying degrees depending on how androgynous you are, or how much make up you decide to wear.

@Rei2Rei watercolour paints, or watercolour pencils. you can buy them at any craft and art store like michaels ^^

@nosenipples lol yeah, they are used for paintings. If you're not comfortable using them on your face there are also cosmetic make-up options, that was just out of our budget. We used this make-up for a two day anime convention and it worked great, washed off easily with soap, and did not irritate our skin at all. If you're worried about the paint irritating you, you can always test it a small amount on your arm. Sorry this tutorial wasn't what you were looking for :(

@KyokoFujita You're welcome, I'm glad you found it useful. For the scar on his lip, you can either use a tiny make up brush and some white/very pale concealer, or you can use white eyeliner (liquid or pencil should work fine)
