leopard does come with iMovie.. but Snow Leopard doesnt.. Heck it's an upgrade from Leopard.. System requirement needs u to install Leopard first.. The other option is to buy a bundled Snow Leopard + iLife + iWork which'll cost u $169.. If ur upgrading from tiger u need to get the bundled version.

As long as your computer has a 867 MHz G4 or higher, you should have no problem upgrading... As for the "Confusing" part, Leopard, much like any other version of OS X, is extremely intuitive and easy-to-use... The only learning curve with the upgrade will most likely be learning to use some of the new features.

I use leopard on my 1.25ghz macmini PPC with a 40gb hard drive and 1gig of ram it runs well. I use an external hard drive so I don't have to worry about space. Been using it for a few months now with no problems, quite impressed actually, I thought it would be unusable.

I understand you feeling about iMovie, but to be honest, before the 08 version I did maybe 1 video on my iMovie 06. With 08 I did a lots of videos, because of the easy cutting. I believe that iMovie 08 is for non professional to be basically able to cut their home, or so, videos, even moms and dads can manage this easily. The 06 version is visually a little bit more difficult than 08. For rest of us, FINAL CUT is the best choice, I think :)

Because it delets and zeroes out the data as it erases. If you just empty the trash it will delete it, but it is still possible to do a file recovery using a special program on those files. So secure erase completely zeroes it out so you cannot retrieve the files using recovery tool.
