I usually play PDW-R and i just unlocked this.. i found my kill count was uneffected, i still cleaned up with 30+ kills. Except that this has a 50+ bullet count compared to the 31 with the extended mag on the PDW-R. ive got to say i liked this gun.
I like the firearm itself, brings me back to the days of an old Half-Life mod, Firearms. It's a unque gun for sure and yeah it's a shame that DICE thought it nessesary to put this gun so low on the damage, oddly enough all of the high rof guns in this game have high or normal damage so one has to wonder. I got my 500+ kills with it and oddly enough after I watched your review I had already about 300 kills, I added a laser site and I started winning close fights rather then having a flashlight.
NOTE: To unlock this weapon you have to arm 10 m-coms, capture 10 flags and play 2 hours on STRIKE AT KARKAND. All the other maps in the map pack does not count towards unlocking this weapon! Thumps up so everyone can see! (I usually don't ask for thumps up but some people might get confused by the criteria for the weapon.)
There's one thing I hate about your channel. Your weapon reviews. It's like you hate all guns that are any way different. This gun is fantastic for people who are not a high enough level to use the P90 because it's nearly identical with it's rate of fire and large mag capacity. Why do you concentrate on the negatives all the time?

UMP was only good for me in the beta tbh. i love the pdw-r personally i run the 3.4x scope laser and extended mags. just hip fire up close and its recoil isnt to bad so you can handle fair long targets with the 3.4x on it. havent tried the pp-19 tho just unlocked it a few hours ago
@usa1327 Well I put work into the pdw's because I like the recon but could not snipe. The only consistent weapons I found was the UMP, pdw-r for awhile and then PP-19. Definitely give it a try with red dot, laser, and flash suppressor.
@DarkZoneIrratonalys the AS VAL, although none of them really are good .. Stick to the weapons of your class. But the PP-19 is really nice in close range, I use it with the support class. I use it with a Holographic, Tactical Light, and Silencer. Very nice, and plus I get unlimited ammo because of the support class.
Some people may find it cool, but you'd expect something better from a gun that requires some work to unlock and is added in an expansion. Most of assignments stuff is moderate.
I will say that this weapon has better iron sights than most and i like the fact you can add a suppressor and the laser sight together but its still hard to not pick the mp7 over it, if you could pick it as a secondary weapon it would be awesome!!!
@TheKkkeeennnnnnyyy Exactly, just like the pp-2000 they're machine pistols (I think). a friend that he found it very weird for the pp-2000 to be a primary, as it is a secondary on cod.

I think the only time you can ever get kills with this is when you're not in the enemy's reticules when you walk a corner; If you're outside the reticules and shoot first, you'll usually get the kill.
I unlocked this gun yesterday and yes, it is really wierd but also you are very crippled with this gun. After a few minutes of gameplay I found myself loosing every single close combat situation, even if I managed to pound in a couple if shots first the enemy killed me with a short burst. So this gun is a piece of shit.
I'm with you on this one @LevelCapGaming - I hate using this gun. I really do feel like I'm using a fully automatic BB gun. More often than not, I run around a corner and die before I can do enough damage to take someone down. I tried to unlock the 10 kills on this gun in a wide open map... what a mistake. It took me forever.

I actually really like this gun. But only on certain maps like Operation Metro and Grand Bazaar. I have had my best games with this gun. 32-6 and 27-5. But it does suck at longer range open maps. That is for sure.
@kingaj0321 attachments affect every weapon to the same percentage effect (for now). Try out the gun, see what it lacks and choose what to slap on it.
You only have a "wide" choice of 4 non-optic attachments (laser, suppressor, flash hider and flashlight), 2 for each slot.
Personally i love it, but it is not good for those who like attachments. I run strictly no attachments because most of them do more harm than good. The silencer reduces the max range damage from 10m to something like 5-7m and the scopes are of no use since the rounds never land where u aim, its weird, but the iron sights are easy to use and when u get the hang of it, it is a good weapon.
can you please tell me how to rack up some major points as a pilot as a gunner i see its way too easy note that i always take out tanks but i only get 2000 points by the end of the game im on ps3 is there a trick to take out infantry with the rockets easily like it was in bc2? please reply
@reddust5 Well if you're really having trouble taking out infantry in a a attack helicopter gunner i assume try the thermal unlock really lights up all ground targets

@reddust5 Oh I see your the pilot, well if your gunner is even half decent you'll probably rarely pick up an infantry kill. It takes way too many shots to kill infantry with rocket pods of any kind there's no trick to it I'm pretty sure DICE doesn't want you to do it at all with how many shots it takes

Just goes to show how different weapons can be between games. On all the videos I've watched of MW3, this gun is beast and almolst universally recommended.
When I found out it could be unlocked in BF3 I was really looking forward to getting it but once unlocked, I spent the time to get a service star then put it away never to be used again.
Lucky there are so many other great weapons if BF3!
If the PP-19 had even just a little bit more damage per round, it would be useful. As it is now, you might as well be shooting a BB gun at your enemies.
@Farismaster1 P90 is the best PDW. 900RPM, 51 bullets in a mag. The UMP simply has too low of a fire rate and as LC said PP-19's damage sucks. As for the PDW-R and the AS VAL, only 21 bullets in the mag.
Almost all PDW's/SMG's allow a laser sight and a suppressor. The QBZ-95B I think is the only carbine to have this trait too. Also, the pp-19 is extremely effective at hardcore and can give much better results so I recommend you try it out!
dude the point you missbis the feel younhave with a weapon.. some stats may say a weapon is not as good compared to other, but if you like the feel, and seem to do better that means the weapon suits you..
@KingKevin397 Yep, it does more damage. It's still low, though compared to assault rifles and carbines, which do 25 max damage. The P90 only does 20 max and 10 min after 50m. Still, great weapon.

I think it's worth mentioning, that you unlock this gun by playing the "Strike at Karkand" map not back to Karkand maps. Or atleast, that's what happened with me.
from watching some of your videos, i noticed that you sometimes lose firefights when using a low power pistol, i suggest your use a more powerfull pistol such as the m1911 or even the .44 magnum

If the PP-19 had even just a little bit more damage per round, it would be useful. As it is now, you might as well be shooting a BB gun at your enemies.

@zelatur Laser's main role is to improve hip fire accuracy. It keeps your crosshairs from spreading as much when firing from the hip.

@Farismaster1 P90 is the best PDW. 900RPM, 51 bullets in a mag. The UMP simply has too low of a fire rate and as LC said PP-19's damage sucks. As for the PDW-R and the AS VAL, only 21 bullets in the mag.

Almost all PDW's/SMG's allow a laser sight and a suppressor. The QBZ-95B I think is the only carbine to have this trait too. Also, the pp-19 is extremely effective at hardcore and can give much better results so I recommend you try it out!

@KingKevin397 Yep, it does more damage. It's still low, though compared to assault rifles and carbines, which do 25 max damage. The P90 only does 20 max and 10 min after 50m. Still, great weapon.

from watching some of your videos, i noticed that you sometimes lose firefights when using a low power pistol, i suggest your use a more powerfull pistol such as the m1911 or even the .44 magnum

The famas is a beasty weapon but the iron sight s*cks. Once you've unlocked the scope it's unstoppable.
