  • Im having my surgery dec 21 and ill be going through the same thing for christmas which really sucks lol

  • *tearing up* I love how much appreciation you felt to your parents for the gift they gave you. What did you end up doing to say "thank you"? Do I have to wait to find out in a future vlog?

  • This was awesome! I did my 1 week post op video today and it felt so good. So far I lost 14 pounds since last Thursday and it's incredible! It was beautiful what you said about your parents! Look forward to more videos!

  • aww this video made me cry..i think watching their daughter get healthy is enough to them , but i know how u feel , no my mom isnt paying for surgery but still everything shes done for me i feel like i could never thank her enough

  • Congrats on the weight loss. My surgery is May 1st! Excited and a little nervous

  • the best gift u can give them is to be healthy....but aside from that i think that the best gifts are always ones we make or create that are from the heart. maybe when u reach goal you could make them a video of pictures of your family from beginning to end and just express at the end how greateful you are for the gift of being able to live a longer fuller life being part of the family because of their wonderful gift....idk...just a suggestion

  • Your parents gave you a rebirth into a new life of hope!

  • Wow, My surgery is May 12th and I am freakng out! you look great though! Amazin, Congrats to you huN!

  • Congratulations on your surgery date!! It will be here before you know it. Don't freak out. You will do fine, and will be recovering happily and dropping those pounds before you know it!!

  • for some reason i thought i subscribed to you and i was wondering how things were, sorry i havent kept up with you...but glad you came home ok and keep up the good work!

  • I'm soooo happy to see you doing so well!! Good to see your face!

How about a video mantage of how you feel about what they did for you along with pics of the trip.....

  • I think you have already repaid them by taking the first step to your recovery and getting healthy. To be given the opportunity to see their little girl be alive and healthy way longer than the maybe dying at a young age or diseased and not be able to take care or yourself nor your child.

  • Handmade gifts are the best, especially by parents.

A suggestion is a card with a gift certificate inside to their fav restaurant, or a photo album of the Mexico Trip.

Look at what their hobbies are as well... You will figure it out.

Congratulations!!!!! I am 4 days post op.

  • Congrats on the loss. Don't stress about thinking the chocolate looks good - I had the same feelings of knowing that some stuff was still TASTY, but it didn't stop me from being a good post-opper :) You'll be great, girl! Welcome to the bench!

  • Thanks Katie! OH, and I have been gradually watching all of your videos.... and that whole baked egg situation that you do looks SCRUMPTIOUS!!! I can't wait for my soft foods stage so I can try it!!

  • loved the pv videos!

i was still hungry after surgery, but i was so afraid of hurting my new pouch that it kept me in check. and now, months later if i give myself permission to take a bite, i have realized my tastebuds change and i just dont like that stuff anyways.

  • Hey Kristen!! I am so glad to see you home and doing well, my suggestion as to thanking your parents, if you have pictures of previous birthdays, compile a dvd movie of all the pics, and start from today on, adding to the pictures, so they can see hard evidence of their girft, they gave you life as a baby, and throw a birthday party for your rebirth, the second ilfe they gave you, with this video as the introduction. They will be just as proud of you as the first time they saw you..... take care

  • Show your parents this video and they will be in tears. What an awsome gift they gave to you. They love you so much.

  • You look awsome and you are so beautiful. Aren't you glad you are on this side of surgery now that it's over with? Just remember "being slim feels so much better than that junk food tastes." I don't get hungry still (I'm 7 weeks post-op), but I know when I need food because I get this "hollow" feeling. And I don't want junk food because I'm scared to death of dumping. Keep up the good work!

  • Lookin' good mama!

I know what you mean about the scale always going up.

What are you having for clear liquids?

I feel so much more whole now, having seen your lil red toungue:)

  • YAY! Glad to see you made it home safe and sound. I wouldn't worry, like you said you just have to let your head catch up with the rest of your body. WOW! Awesome weight loss 18 lbs. and 32 lbs. total that's great. Your on the losers bench now congratulations Faith. As for your parents, have you talked to them and expressed how deeply you feel and don't know how to thank them. That would probably be thanks enough. Take it easy while your recovering and best wishes.......

    Priscilla :-)

  • Congratulations on the weight loss! I am glad you made it home safe.

  • A great gift to your parents and yourself would be is gather pictures of your mom and dad before you were born and throughout her pregnancy and your childhood all the way up until now that shows how you've grown into such a lovely lady then put it to a favorite song...that would be so special and it would show how much you care because it's from your heart.

Now onto your new beginnings, I just found your videos and think that you are so beautiful and can't wait to see you blossom.

    ~Mandy

  • Great Idea! :)

  • wow 18 lbs that is great

  • Congrats and welcome home! You look great! My sister in law and I will continue watching your progress and soon I'll be joining you on the journey to a healthier and happier lighter life! I can't wait.

In re: your Mom and Dad, truly the best gift you could give them in return to say thanks is continuing on to do so well. Their greatest gift will be your happiness and health. If you want to send a card with your heartfelt expression of gratitude and why it means so much to you.

    Neecy

  • Congradulations! I'm so happy for you. I'm happy to see you back and doing super well. Welcome to your new life.

  • Welcome home! Congrats on the weight loss too :) I think you're parents know how much their gift means to you....no matter what you do you'll never feel like it was enough...just thank them. You're parents love you and would probably give their life for you to be healthy and happy. Besides...they gave you life to begin with...they are just protecting their investment...;) haha

  • I know how you feel about ur parent. i feel the same way about my mom .What i did i send her a post that had all the right word and she love it and cried but i am planning something for her on mother day .i don't know what .but i am think ing about it really good . cause she is the best.

  • Welcome back and great weight loss!!! Enjoy this time just it literally falls off the first couple of months!

  • Congrat and welcome back ..welcome to the loser bench......

  • First of all, welcome back!! You look GREAT... and CONGRATS on the loss... secondly, maybe you do something like a video with you, your son and your boyfriend, each with their own reasons for thanking them for the wonderful gift they gave you.. It would be something they could keep and watch forever and not to mention, see your progress from where you started... Just a suggestion, but I hope you find something and keep the updates coming! Take care!!

    =) Christy
