@subbmage32349 Obviosly that's true because all games are compatible for xbox but with a 9600gso you can play the game without lag. Good pc you can upgrate it. Good xbox you can run all xbox games. It's your choose i dont know what is the most expensive of the two but if you preffer xbox stay in xbox if you have a good pc upgrate it and you wont have problems. Is just your election , personally i preffer pc because it's easier play in multiplayer and has more games including old ones

I like to run TDU with NVidia control panel enhancements, forcing 16xAF, 16xQ AA, Triple Buffer, VSync. Try it, it looks completely different, actually seems to run more smoothly for some reason too. The smoke kind of looks like fire though.

most computers can play every game on max settings as long as you have shadow effects turned off. shadow effects is what kills most peoples computer speed wise. like my laptop can do 40fps on WoW ultra w/o shadow effect and 10fps w/ shadow effect.

Shadow's do not make the computer lag. AA, and Anisotropic Filtering are usually why.

If I turn off shadows on GTA IV the game still lags as much. Texture detail on high would lag more than with shadows on. That's why it's important to read the "system requirements" before you purchase a game.

Yeah, but it plays like SHIT. :/ I have an ATI Radeon X1300, I get about 12 FPS with everything low and some config tweaking. So it looks like shit AND plays like shit. I just ordered an EVGA 9600 GSO, and so I'm hoping the performance will increase dramatically.

Im selling GTA IV on pc. The new patches did fuck al to performance. All they did was add new ways to make the game look and play worse.
